Help This Antacid Okay???

I tried to find any antacid that is close to Tagamet content (Cimetidine) but to no avail.

So the pharmacist told me that this one (Famotidine 40mg) is the same as above.

Is it the same???

40mg, is it enough???

It appears the two antacids you mentioned work the same way in the body. I take 40mg of famotidine twice a day, as my heartburn and GERD are strong. It helps. I think you're fine with this choice. We'll see what other feedback you receive.

I don't think the type of antacid matters too much. As long as it can react with the HCl in your stomach, it will allow more of the SN to make it to your small intestine to be absorbed.
