Thinking about checking in to a hotel and overdosing on Wellbutrin.

Like the title says that's how I am planning on ctb-ing. I have about 16 grams of expired Wellbutrin SR pills and I think that should be enough to get the job done. At this point I think I'm just willing to just deal with the clonic seizures I'd get in my room until cardiac arrest eventually takes me hopefully. I've tried od-ing on Wellbutrin before and it almost worked but I think I had a Dissociative Identity Disorder personality switch and called for help. Idk maybe this method would be easier than hanging, as I wouldn't have to hope I pass out fast enough to avoid prolonging of suffocation. Any thoughts?

Overdosing, especially on prescribed meds, probably won't work. Is there a specific reason you're doing it at a hotel? You'd be better off spending that money on a method that's actually more likely to work

I've tried this method with a bottle of Prozac. It made me sick and felt like my throat was closing in. Please don't attempt this method!

There's a reason why other methods are discussed more often on here. CTB via prescription med overdose very rarely works; most everyone ends up surviving. Plus, some meds can mess you up long term (depends on the med though, can't speak on wellbutrin).

I'll hope that you can find an alternative, because as repeated here, this likely won't work.

You could just end up with seizures and long term damage. Cardiac arrest is possible, but its not common.

Like others have said ODing on prescription meds rarely works, also the chance of having another DID personality switch is high, the body will always try to find ways to survive even without DID most people's SI would take over with as painful and drawn out a death as most overdoses are.

It says that:

"Bupropion was detected in 65 cases. A large proportion of the bupropion-positive deaths resulted from suicide (55%). In fatal poisoning cases found positive for bupropion, the proportion of suicide was even higher (77%)."

It also says that:

"The percentage of fatal poisonings among bupropion-positive postmortem cases was higher than among the users of other antidepressant drugs. Suicide was significantly more common among the deceased positive for bupropion than among users of other antidepressant drugs."

I don't know. I read the posts on non-methods with overdosing being one of them but I think this may be different.

Wellbutrin isn't very "dangerous" and I feel like your chances of success with this are unfortunately quite low.

Obviously as other comments have stated, there are some successful cases. Anything is possible, but the odds are just low. Again, as other commentors have stated the consequences of failure are considerable. Being "sectioned"/involuntarily admitted for treatment, physical pain, potential permanent damage to your body/organs.

Consider what you do wisely. CTB, in my opinion, should be looked at like any other medical procedure. You want it to be done carefully and properly, not quickly and impulsively. This is how you get a strong chance of success.

After I posted this I noticed another thread mentioned that they OD'd on Wellbutrin and were in a coma, and near death supposedly, but in some sort of unconscious state they ended up calling 911 who came and rescued them but they can't remember it.
