They took my dogs from me

The city took my dogs from me when I had to go to the ER. I have/had 1 resident dog and 2 fosters. They promised me I could get them back when I was released and I could check in on them as much as I wanted. It wasn't true. I'm in the US and it is a holiday weekend and I can't even get a hold of the place that has my dogs until after the weekend. It is excruciating. I can't be here anymore and now I have to deal with this weekend without them. This is too difficult. I don't want to be here anymore. I never did, but this is even worse. I can't handle my babies being in a shelter right now.

Do you mean you'll be able to get them tomorrow Monday 4th? Or it isn't getting them back, but only know where they are?

The holiday is on Monday, so I can't get them until Tuesday at the earliest. I'm afraid I won't be able to get them back ever, though.

Try to keep in mind that doggies are resilient and that animal shelters are staffed by people who are compassionate towards animals.

Your babies will be home soon. I know they can't be home soon as far your concerned but they'll be back soon.

I am so sorry you're having to endure this, and your babies too. I know how very very hard this has to be on all of you and I know time is going to drag out seemingly forever over the next day and a half.

Thank you for reaching out. I was able to get them back, thankfully. My two foster dogs ended up getting adopted into a very loving home, so I am happy for them. My dog is home with me, safe and sound. I am afraid now that I have run out of options. This feels very scary.
