Today the results of my CT scan came.
I have superior canal dehiscence syndrome. The bone covering my vestibular canal is missing.

There are holes in my ears.
My inner ear is fucking busted open.

I lived 1 year and 3 months of agonizing pain, been told Im faking for attention repeatedly, put myself through countless tests that showed nothing, lost all my money, my family, my health to hard drugs that I use to cope, my girlfriend who left me because it was breaking her heart to see me suffer, doctors willingly made me an invalid by denying me care.

My balance is gone, Im in agonizing pain and my life is destroyed. The only treatment for this is surgery, no one in my country will perform it because there are only 3 doctors in entire Poland that know this exists. Surgery in US costs 32 thousands dollars.
I am truly fucked and unfixable. Now I can yeet myself off a bridge knowing I didnt make this up

And dehiscence is not an emergency because it wont kill me, it can only drive me mad. In Paris I was denied coverage it probably involves filling hella paperwork. Found some links...

So sorry you are going through that, is there at least someone who can support you?
I'm pretty sure the same rules apply for specialist doctor's appointments. Not sure how it all works in praxis though, makes me mad that the polish healthcare system doesn't guide you. Did they just give you a diagnosis, tell you they can't treat you in Poland and send you home?

Do you have a health insurance in Poland that would cover operations in the hospitals?
Usually if there is no specialist in your country that is able to perform the operation, your insurance should cover the costs of having the operation either privately or abroad.
Also: if you are abroad for studying / working, your insurance should cover health related costs. I think you should contact them..

I really do not know how things are in poland for health insurances.
When someone has not started working yet (for example students of universities, or young people that have not found a job yet after studying), usually his family has to pay an amount for the health insurance so that also the son is covered. In many countries it is not allowed not to have a health insurance; in some countries you choose between many insurance companies, in others there is only 1 statutory one.
You should know in which country you have your main residence (your hometown? or you changed residence to another country?); that's the country that will set the rules for anything that is medically related. If you still were under the care of your parents, you are probably included in their health insurance. Maybe you have a card that you use in your home town for medical visits
If you are young and you have never been independent, it's completely normal that you don't know how the health systems operates. Until I was under the supervision of my parents (27), I didn't know it either. Also when I started working, I didn't know anything at all, because I was still covered by the national health insurance with the only difference that my employer was now deducting an amount from my gross salary to be paid in taxes.
Even unemployed people have a form of coverage for health.
Before deciding of doing anything, please get those informations

@BridgeJumper , I'm so terribly sorry for all that you are going through. The one good thing here is knowing what the issue is because the not knowing is torture in itself. Can you somehow have someone set up a Go Fund Me for you, if that exists in Poland. Maybe it would help. Can you try reaching out to the Drs who do know of the issue you have and beg them for charity care. If this is the only thing that might save you exhaust all your options. Is it possible to reconnect with you family and have them help you with all this and look into things for you? With all my heart, I hope something works out for you

Actually I got worse. Im closetbound havent be outside since my injury with the MRI this past September. Im doing horrible. Hyperacusis has ruined the little ounce of energy I had left to try to ctb. Now its so hard for me to die bc if this. So your not alone. You can message me anytime. I also have whatsapp that have people in same situation as you wanting to ctb They are on here too.

I also have that only on my left ear and H and T and was thinking of Pegasus but I'm not sure folks with this condition (deshicience) can fly because of the pressure changes, so I now have discrdes that option plus I can't be near an airplane because of my h. Good luck they will probably accept you with that condition as surgery is invasive.

I already forced myself to fly to get tests abroad even though it made me throw up so hard I went unconscious.
Think there is a way to get to Switzerland by train.
I'm high on opioids everyday I dont care my ears are blown open and I dont have a life


Pegasos wrote me back. They told me hours they operate in, that they perform euthanasia during covid and sent me information about nembutal. Dignitas didnt answer yet. Going to hit up Exit International too because why not. I'm tired of this, I want to not be in pain anymore

Im so sorry to hear that you have nightmare tinnitus i just have low white noise i hope you find peace somewhere thats what im hoping for myself aswell but ive had terrible experience i believe i had a plf that could have been sorted through surgery within the first ten days of getting tinnitus but doctor wouldnt put me forward for surgery sometimes id love to give my tinnitus to a doctor for a day to realize what im going through

I know but at the end of the day even if you win the lawsuit your still stuck with the chronic illness. Im in this position too. I still haven't sued Columbia Hospital for what they did to me. I know for a fact I would win big but being in this closet due to Hyperacusis has literally fucked up my cognitive skills so bad...its hard to even type this message out to you now so just imagine a law case I cant even deal with the lawyers because I cant even go outside even being in zoom hurts my ears so bad...I havent been outside since September can you believe this? The technician that did this to me is basically getting away with murder, walking free while I'm suffering in a fucking closet 24/7 I need to ctb asap

I'm so sorry about your pain! I understand, I own 4 pairs of plugs 3 pairs of noise cancels, cant get out of the house without them or crutches and without being high on opiates
Trying to save up for noise annuling, headphones that deflect sound so you dont hear. I'm so done with this shit. The only reason I ever go out is to score drugs and because I refuse to quit seeing my bridge.
