Hello again!

I've come back with a new plan, that's both more and less flawed than before.

  1. Either go to work on a day I work, and simply not show up, or pretend to be called into work on a day I'm actually off. Either get dropped off or walk there, depending on circumstances. Not really important.
  2. Call an Uber and wait, and hope they don't take hours to show up. I know nothing about Uber.
  3. Have the Uber drive me to Buena Vista Twp Sewer Department? Then I can walk to the bridge myself afterwards and jump? I'm not sure if this is allowed.
If it's not allowed...
  1. Have them drive me over the bridge, and just force them to open the door. I'm not sure how I can achieve this, but I think just demanding that they do it is enough? Like, if there's someone mad that you won't let them out of the car, and they've already paid, (I'm not sure how Uber works but if you pay after I'll just give them $100 or something) then you'd probably want them out of the car so they don't attack you or something? (I obviously wouldn't attack them.) Idk. I'm sure they'll open the door. Maybe I could say I'm going to throw up or something?
Then obviously just run and jump, head first.

Which plan is better? Is it completely flawed? The main reason I believe it might be, is there is a report of someone surviving the jump, but also a report of someone dying to it. I honestly don't have any other options that I can think of though, so this might eventually be what I have to do. Someone said it was 125 ft.

Other variables:
  1. The drive is about 2 hours. I live near Fair Haven in Michigan.
  2. My shifts at work are 8 1/2 hours.
  3. I obviously don't own a car.
  4. My parents are snoopy, which rules out a lot of things, but is also why I need to pretend to be at work. I don't really go anywhere else.
  5. I obviously don't own a gun, or this would go a lot easier.
Any help is appreciated! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

By not allowed do you mean not allowed/possible to walk on the bridge? If you are unsure if there exists a walkway that would make your plan possible (or any other aspect of the bridge you are curious about), you could scout the bridge first, either online, such as through Google maps, or in person.

Do you want the car to stop in the middle of the bridge, and be able to get out? Many drivers will not want to stop in the middle of traffic, if that is the situation. But depending on the bridge it may not be an unusual request.
Someone said it was 125 ft.
Attempts above 150ft are mostly fatal. But even above that height there are also unsuccessful attempts, as you mention.

Do you think the parts on the sides count as walkways or no?

Thats the road shoulder, not a walkway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoulder_(road). Usually, pedestrian use of them is more restricted, because they're not intended solely for pedestrians. Rules for pedestrians in my state only permit walking on left shoulders, and only if walkways are not available. Also, a jump over water has a high chance of fatality at 300ft. Unless you're also fine with drowning.

Is renting a car not an option? If no license, would it be out of the realm of possibilities to get one? Even if just to rent a car and drive where you want? Just a thought.

I'm honestly terrified of driving, and have never gotten my license. Years and years ago, I had nightmares about someone getting into a car crash, and it's kind of engrained itself into my mind, and since I always fuck everything up, I'm just worried I'd do the same. I could TECHNICALLY try to get over that fear, but then I'd have to rent a car too, as you said...I know I'd just be so anxious trying to drive, I'd probably be driving too slow and people would get pissed at me...and I'd have to come up with a good explanation to my parents WHY I'm renting a car, and I'm not a good liar...they know I never go anywhere besides work...and I'm so in my own head these past few days that I don't think I can handle all of that

Don't jump off the Zilwaukee bridge. I live here in Saginaw, Michigan about a half mile away from the bridge. It's really hard to get up there, I've tried. Its I75 so you have heavy traffic, so its pretty much guaranteed someone is going to call the police or stop you. There is a big walkup to the bridge. You could jump off, and people have and been successful, but sometimes people don't die instantly from jumping off it, even if they dive head first. You would very likely drown, which would work, but would be a very miserable way to go.

I have driven over that bridge many times years ago and I have to agree with the poster above me.
