Whitney Houston's method has crossed my mind recently, mainly because I may have access to a shitton of Xanax. Not that I'm going to go through with this or anything, but does anyone have thoughts as to Xanax/alcohol while in a bathtub? I was thinking 100 mg - 200 mg, plus, a ton of vodka, would work. Hell, even in some more interesting fantasies, I cut my wrists as well. Please let me know your thoughts. This is a hell of a lot more humane than some of my other fantasies.

Skip the wrist cutting. Very unreliable.

ODing, the same, unreliable.

If you're hoping to drown while drunk on vodka, highly unlikely. Your body will kick into survival mode, even when passed out.

Whitney Houston's death was a looong time in the making. You'd have to form a relationship with Bobby Brown, allow him to corrupt you with drugs and alcohol, develop a crack cocaine addiction, and become an alcoholic, all the while cultivating atherosclerosis for 20+ years to ensure your heart would give out secondary to cocaine use coupled with benzo withdrawal.

Seriously, who has time for that?

I have to agree with the other people here… Whitney Houston had some long-standing health issues that made it more likely that she was going to die from an OD successfully, albeit inadvertently. Unless you're a long time drug user, rail thin, and have predisposing ailments that would make it hard to live long, please look elsewhere. If you're looking for a painless way out, please look into N, N2, or CO. CO would be the cheapest.

Still, it certainly has advantages over the Christopher Reeve method.

I think most famous people have access to a lot more than we do and having underlying health issues is always going to be a factor in her case.

True. Look at Anna Nicole Smith. She was on 11 prescription drugs and a powerful sleep syrup after her son died. Some of those prescriptions weren't even made out to her.

Whitney Houston was not addicted to crack dear. No disrespect intended, but you're misinformed. Was she addicted to other drugs yes, but crack was not one of them.

Where are you getting that info from? I've read in many places that she was a huge crack cocaine addict. I can't site specific sites and tbh don't care enough to look them up, but I'm fairly certain it's a fact.

According to multiple sources, including Houston's sister in law, she was, indeed, strung out on crack. Next time you decide to take a tone of corrective condescension, make sure it's not you that's misinformed, my dear.

"I did crack with Whitney. She won't stay off drugs. It's every single day," Tina said. "It's so ugly. Everyone is scared she's going to OD."

Tina claimed her addiction to crack was so serious that the singer often punched and bit herself until she was black and blue, worryingly believing she was being attacked by the devil."

As an aside, I can't believe I feel compelled to defend what was intended as a playful one-off comment, but in case it's not obvious, I don't appreciate being patronized.

OK, so because you read it in the media it's true?! I truly hope that is not your conclusion my friend. I'm not making statements based upon false reports and misinformation from the press, so as I originally stated it is YOU that is misinformed, and I'll just leave it there. Good Day!

Oh my. However will I recover from such a cogent and convincing rejoinder? I know: I'll block you, so you can get back to the equally fascinating and scientifically credible subjects of astrology and defending Whitney Houston's history of drug use.

After all, that's what friends are for.
