Even people who are so accomplished and talented can succumb to the cruelty of the universe. This woman recovered from a teenage drug addiction and ended up with millions in debt trying to achieve her dream of being a doctor. No one would hire her, and she ended up dying via self inflicted gunshot wounds. What a fucked up world we live in.

If someone is smart or whatever it might still be a good idea to choose a simple profession if they have mental problems and shit, btw.

All that work, gone. Just like that.

This is why I pulled the plug now instead of doing so after I had finished my schooling. I know at some point before 40 CTB is certain to happen, and I may as well end it all sooner rather than later because it's not going to get better from this point. I can't work out of my situation.

That whole thing about not being able to find employment is why I was very avoidant of things like drugs when I was a teen. That shit will follow you for life. It's insane how the "justice" system works in this country, it's anything but. Just there to keep some semblance of public order but it is designed to keep people who are in, IN.

The determination of that lady is honestly admirable and so tangible from how she spoke. 12 years sober is such an incredible achievement alone, minus everything else.

From her writing she was, at least at one time, Christian. If that's the case I hope she's resting in heaven free from the pain and suffering of life. Sounds like she deserves it in the best way possible. Rest in peace.

Zionist data companies are making public records accessible on people for life. There is no do over in a world run by criminal zionists , no matter how accomplished the person becomes

zionist run media sources constantly tell the world how their "big data" and "ai advancements " are making their lives better. Instead these alleged advancements mostly funnel wealth into a handful of Zionist entities like Goldman Sachs. It's been well documented how these companies have used technology to frontrun market orders and do other shady shenanigans

I've heard the story of this woman. And it's been something that has frightened me ever since I first heard it because if I wrote a note this is close to what it would sound like. This woman is another version of me minus the addiction/criminal history.

From her letter it looks like it gets progressively harder to get placed with every year, which makes sense. You need to investigate how it actually works in practice. Universitites don't offer accurate information about this, you need to get in touch with the working sphere. I wouldn't be surprised if the US has specialised career coaches for med graduates, look into that. Like I said in your thread, if it turns out you're screwed, then you're screwed, but you're probably not screwed quite yet, even though it's menacing on the horizon. In any case you're not as fundamentally screwed as this woman. Going to medical school with a criminal record in the US, I'm not even sure what she was thinking. It was a doomed endeavor.

Wow, that is quite a long, painful yet interesting read. It encompasses the reality of getting a "dream job" if you have a criminal record, crippling student loans, depression and burdened by societal expectations.

Don't forget a US economic structure designed to serve Zionist corporate interests . The priority is keeping octogenarian billionaires like the recently deceased adelson or sumner red stone alive and wealthy until the last minute . Before god almighty sends their asses straight and directly to hell

I'm in my late twenties, and I have the same problems that woman had:
1. no job even I was a brilliant learner/student
2. student loans
3. single and I have no children
4. (pain of 2 breakups in my life)
5. awful memories of awful people in my life
6- No future for me :D

Rest in peace my dear, you was a true fighter, you deserve some rest now!

I feel so similarly to her. I worked so hard to get my doctorate and build a career as a professor. Now that life is taken away from me. I devoted my life (time, energy, resources) to this, and it was all taken away from me. I have no future, certainly not one worth living.

I wish I had her courage. I wish my attempt last year was successful. It would've meant one less year of pain.

You might be onto something there regarding choosing simple professions if you have mental problems. I would like to consider myself smart and pretty decent as an employee but my performance does struggle when my mental illness decides to come and play, cos my chosen career is not the easiest one out there so then I quit shortly after and battle to find work again that's how the cycle goes.

Things like this are the reason I'm absolutely petrified of debt to the point of dropping out of college when I ran out of money and still never re-enrolling.

I'd probably go a hundred thousand dollars in debt and then nobody would employ me anyway because I have too many gaps, because I'm a white male who doesn't fit any diversity slots, and because I said something "problematic" or "racist" in a Tweet once in 2015 that got dug up by someone. (In fact, this very post would do the trick!)

I always go back and forth between thinking I saved my life and ruined my life by choosing a simpler, more manageable path. At this point I feel more and more like I'm reaching the end of the road and I should have at least tried and not let myself get stunted by fear. But who knows where I'd be if I'd taken the other bend in the road. Maybe even worse-off. Society does not make things easy.

How did they know about her history of addiction, and how were they legally able to discriminate against her because of it? I'm guessing this is from the US, where employment rights barely exist. As for the felony in her youth - did she not check before pursuing that career whether it would be an issue? In the UK, doctor training is done with the NHS, so any criminal record problems would be raised before you even start year 1 of medical school, because you need a criminal record check to get on the course. And a newly qualified NHS doctor in 2022 leaves uni with a debt of $98,000 USD, and you only start to pay off the debt once you're earning about $35,000, a percentage is taken from anything over that threshold, probably 5% to 10% - how is she millions in debt?! Seems like the US is just capitalism gone utterly bonkers!

You try your absolute best and still get fucked over. A similar thing happened to me, I was refused a crucially important placement due to having something on my record. It honestly made me lose what little hope I had left. Police fuck peoples' entire futures over and think that's ok. Hate them more than you can imagine.

Unless you're working with vulnerable people, or working in a bank, as a lawyer, etc, people should have the right to a private past. This is protected under EU law, but the UK has left the EU, so maybe this will change! I know someone who works in a supermarket with a burglary conviction, who just didn't disclose it when he applied. They have no right to access his records. If they found the newspaper article about his conviction from 10 years ago, they could sack him for lying I think, but he could appeal as part of the right to a private life. Google was forced under EU law to remove news articles about some people's past convictions, if the person applies, apparently.

This woman in OPs post as well as myself aimed to work with "vulnerable" people. But I think it's still ridiculous because my record has nothing to do with harming "vulnerable" people and neither does that woman's. It bears no relevance. Literally locked out of the job I actually wanted because of some total BS. I'm just disillusioned with the whole system. Why even bother trying if I'm not even going to be allowed a chance.

I agree. Just having a 'record' doesn't mean you are untrustworthy. I know in the UK they will consider minor convictions, especially if they were during your teens. But they would ask for all this before you even start your medical degree. I know someone who works as a hospital porter, pushing patients around in wheelchairs, etc, who went to youth offender's prison for a serious assault. But he's not medical staff. After a certain time period in the UK, a minor conviction is considered 'spent', so you don't have to disclose it, even if an employer asks. I don't understand why that woman didn't check first though, before pursuing her medical career. One of the scariest things happening here is police recording 'hate incidents', which can be disclosed to employers if you are applying for a 'vulnerable people' type role, despite no crime or conviction having taken place. Just someone perceived your behaviour as 'hateful', and the police believe them! The government has declared this a breach of everyone's rights and requested that the police remove all of these from people's records, but whether they have or not I don't know. It's communist-style 'thought police' type shit!

Yeah, the policing of people's beliefs, beyond the rule of law. One force here had rainbows painted on to the police cars - police are supposed to be apolitical - they're here to serve everyone; liberals, transphobes and everyone in between, no matter if we agree with them or not. I think what we're seeing now is brainwashed kids who went to uni in the 2010's rising into positions of power. Management positions in councils, police, school boards. Imagine what the kids who are at uni now will be like in 2030 - life will be insufferable once they're running the local police force!
