Is it good rum at least?
I've been sober for the first night in a couple of weeks and it was okay. Jittery and with clenching teeth, but at least I was in a very deep sleep at some point, which rarely happens anymore.

This is my fav, I actually prefer the cheaper darker rums, I find them less sweet.
I don't get withdrawel, like wise I don't get hang overs my body is weird, only thing is does is make me wake at 3am!

The cheap go to rum for me is probably Captain Morgan. E&J is another popular cheap liquor but it's pretty terrible.

Captain Morgans over here is about £15 for 70cl, I think that's about $20 its among the cheaper but not the cheapest,
Does anyone drink this? this stuff, is shot stuff, OMG I am done, I prefer the cold brew coffee, were as this is herbal but so lush

While we're at it, I also like straight vodka a lot. This one is pretty affordable and better than the big expensive brand name ones.

Yea I've been trying to stay sober, atleast from alcohol. It's been going well I think I got it to stick this time.
Things have still been shit lately. But I guess it's still helping out a bit to stay off the drink.

Yeah alcohol sucks tbh. That's why I prefer it to going on benzos though. With benzos being cleaner, I fear the temptation to take them all day is greater. Whith booze, there is a built in aversity for me to take it in the middle of the day.

Benzodiazepines, like Valium or Xanax. They work on GABA receptors similar to how alcohol or barbiturates work. In fact they replaced barbiturates as anxiolitics and sleep meds.

I can't tablets, if its not liquid then I can't take it, part of the reason I am so fucked up, there is nothing to help me in liquid form!

Thank you for that, it actually hasn't been that hard so far. I don't often get the physical side of addiction its always just been the mental side of it. I would just drink out of boredom really, so I'm just trying to stay busy with other things instead.

I'm more of a whiskey guy, despite the fact that my main choice of booze was one of the cheap Indian rums (Old Monk, to be precise). I like the mild flavor of whiskey, not the strong flavor of rum or beer. Vodka is pretty cool as well, as long as it's unflavored, but I think of it as more of a get-drunk-quick option over the slowly-get-hammered option of whiskey.

Mhh good vodka always seemed the cleanest form of alcohol consumption to me. With the correct drinking method it tastes like nothing, doesn't burn, no aftertaste.
