The R2D Rebreather II now delivered successfully

Suicidefriends, the R2D Rebreather II was delivered to me today successfully on April 6 2021! But I have not open the package. According to Exit International, the device has infinite sustainability, so then it is possible to use it anytime in the future, in months or years, I suppose. I will save it for the future because this requires planning and forethought. I am not afraid of death, but what happens if the method failes, if the device does not work? That worries me. Is the R2D Rebreather II reliable? I suppose no one can answer that question because has the manufacturer tested the product on humans? I am doubtful about that. Can this only be a way for the manufacturer to earn money? Because this product will sell all over the world. I wonder if Exit bag and sleeping pills is a more reliable method. Or maybee it will be worth the risk of failure - how will I know before I try?

Not much data to help you. Shelf life is not indefinite. Soda lime usually good for a few years if sealed, but don't freeze or overheat as it damages the granules. Bottom line, you will not know before you try. I built mine and my O2 drops very quickly during tests so I know that I'll pass out within a couple of minutes if the mask is left on and then be gone 8-10 minutes later. The feeling as O2 drops is sort of like a dull fog and not at all unpleasant. Depending on the soda lime used, there is a little bit of a medicinal smell, not strong through. I suppose no one knows if the R2D Rebreather II works because it was not possible to test it on humans - or was it? I wrote to Exit International asking about this, but got no answer. To me this device seems too good to be true, but I am not an expert. When I see the website of Right-To-Die and their video it seems like a good way to die, but that is what the inventor and the manufacturer want us to believe so they can earn money, I suppose. Because that is why all of us sell things - to earn money. The first Rebreather had som manufacturing defects so how can we be sure that the second Rebreather works? The truth is that we can not. Will the person not remove the mask from the face before going unconscious? I will not use my Rebreather yet, with time maybee there will be some information if this product works or not. I have been thinking about use Exit bag with sleeping pills for a long time, but in the books The Peaceful Pill Handbook and Final Exit, the authors do not recommend this method anymore. Why did I not use Exit bag and sleeping pills myself? Because as we breath out carbon dioxide in the plastic bag, the person will panic, and will remove the bag from the head and the time from taking the sleeping pills and going unconscious will be 15 minutes or maybee one hour, a long time to wait lying with the Exit bag before going to sleep and maybee I will remove the bag from the head when I am almost unconscious so the method will fail. Any method can fail, even euthanasia, but at least then we are not alone and someone will help us. To die with the help of a doctor is the best way to die, but not everybody has money to pay for it.

I did not know anything about the first Rebreather from 2020, I did not read about it then and I never bought it, I only read about the first Rebreather this year, 2021. Exit International called the product DeBreather and said that this device was reliable - but it was not because they did not test it on humans so they did not know. Everybody makes mistakes! Soda lime removes carbon dioxid from the air so I suppose R2D Rebreather II should work if the product is OK. This method is better than hanging and jumping. But it is difficult to kill a person and it is scary to lie home all alone waiting for death or a failure.

I'm 95+% sure Dr. Nitschke said some time ago, on Exit's podcast, that the redesign was being done primarily in order to improve the face-mask's seal... That (as I understood him) that was the major issue/problem with the last revision. And, as far as I can tell the mask design has been substantially improved in this new version.

With this method, everyone should know that it is absolutely essential that the system be quite air-tight = any substantial leaks and it will not work. The "weak point" for leaks is the seal of the mask over one's nose and mouth: As one loses consciousness, one's facial muscles tend to "relax" and that can cause leaks. Bottom line, the mask absolutely needs to be corrected fitted and secured.

So, please make sure to take your time and be careful — especially, follow all the instructions completely — in order to properly fit/prepare/ place your mask.

Cool. Glad you got it. When I go to purchase the product it says I am buying a disposable reBreather cartridge for $190.00. Is that the whole product price or just the cartridge? It is rather confusing.

Each R2D ReBreather II ships with three face masks in different sizes to ensure a proper fit and an air-tight seal.

And... from their PDF instructions as well as their instructional videos (here is the PDF I'm quoting: www.right2die.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/R2D_Rebreather_Instructions_3.18.21.pdf — but always make sure to DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST VERSION of their instructions by looking it up on their website).

From among the three included face masks, select the mask that most closely fits ... Use the included syringe to adjust the [mask's] air-filled cushioned seal ... making a comfortable airtight seal. ... The chinstrap is designed to keep your mouth from opening as you drift into unconsciousness.

There should be a good-fitting/air-tight mask setup for ~almost everybody (i.e., every "body")...

With the new version you received, did you not get 3 masks and a syringe capable of adjusting the air in the masks' "air-filled cushioned seal" (as well as a chinstrap designed to keep one's mouth closed)? Ultimately, you should have everything to look like this:
This doesn't seem "too small" afaik, so I'm unsure where your question is coming-from...? If you don't have these things in your kit, you need to contact the manufacturer... One must have a well-fitting & VERY secure mask to use this method.
