This is exactly, word for word, an e-mail I received this week. It's almost the quintessential response to a request for help! It's a response to an e-mail I sent at the end of LAST YEAR.
Hi Mark,
I am sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment. It is positive you have reached out today to get yourself the help you need.
From your message we are unable to establish the area you live in but would advise that if you feel unable to keep yourself safe that you seek immediate support. If your GP surgery is open you can contact them. If it is out of hours you can call 111, go to your local A&E or if you are known to your local crisis team contact them.
We only provide advice and guidance through our email and text service however we can offer emotional support over the telephone or via online chat. You can find all of the information regarding the areas we cover and the contact details for your area at the following website: www.mentalhealthmatters.com/our-services/helpline-services/. If you live in an area we don't cover the Samaritans are another organisation who can offer emotional support, there phone number is 116 123.
We hope you find the help you need
Heather.
