Cold for the first 48 hours post soft tissue injury (strains, sprains, muscle injuries). After 48 hours, warmth (not too hot) 20 minutes on followed by 20 minutes (or longer) off.
Robaxacet (methocarbamol) is prescription only in the US. It is also called Robaxsyn.
If the name ends in "acet" it also contains Tylenol. Name ending in "asal" contains aspirin, and there is a version that contains Ibuprofen. I hope that helps. I've also been given benzos (diazepam) when injured muscles have gone into spasm.
Thanks for all the info. I did try the heating pad on low for 20 minutes and it did seem to relax the muscle so it's not quite as sore now when I lie down, at least for the time being.
Now it's just the rest of my body that hurts from laying in awkward positions for the last couple of nights to avoid hurting the sore muscle. LOL! I think that'll calm down though, once I get up and walk around a little bit. If not, I might try taking a warm shower later. That should help relax all of my muscles. Thanks again!

Not sure if you've tried... sometimes alternating hot/cold works too. It's an interesting thing but using a heating pad too long causes the opposite effect, then the ice pack does things... but an option too :)

Oh, I actually was not aware there's a 6th season of BoJack. Now I know what I'll do tomorrow as a fallback for other plans.

I have a bad feeling I"m going to have to see if a prescription will work as proof I went to the doctor... not sure if there's a date on it though...

If not for me wanting out of there, I would've remembered the note. Seriously though, I hate how my workplace wants a freaking note... for a salaried employee, for a doctor. Like... why...
I think that legally there has to be a date on it. Especially if insurance is involved.

I'll forgive your Monday wish only because you have a worthwhile goal.... but otherwise boooo! lol

Yeah, they take a copy and shove it in a filing cabinet never to look at it again from what I know... like wtf?
Plus side I have 3 things, one is a copy of a receipt, one's the prescription for bloodwork... so hoping it'd work. as it's date/timed.

It varies depending on the person and the injury. If the muscle tissues surrounding an injury have started to spasm, the cold will increase the pain, but no more than 20 minutes of heat at a time.
Most people feel better if they put cold on a migraine, but when I used to get migraines, heat made all the difference. One method may not work for all. My muscle injuries were from lifting heavy nuns—I was an LPN at a convent for 5 years :)

Yeah, it all totally depends!

I have some coworkers that use heating pads for 8 hours.... on high... and have them on their backs. We're talking they start to smell from burning almost.

yeah but what about the immediate rewatch afterwards
I... don't do that at all. The memories of good stuff are always too strong to get any serious joy boost out of immediate rewatch. I might watch an episode or two, but that's about it

Ah, i see.

I ended up trying to decode the themes the writers and producers have worked into the show. i treat it very much like literature. I'm not sure i get joy out of it either but it's nice to see what..... other people think about life/death/depression in a very refined setting.

I'm alive even though I shouldn't be. I had a dream where I missed two buses heading out. I mean actual buses not metaphorical ones. An older man from my job got on one and told me to hurry up but I was too late. The second bus was smaller and was full before I could get on to get a seat so I wasn't allowed on. How symbolic. I woke up with huge back pain. Actually my back still hurts my right shoulder blade is killing me but whatever. Good afternoon everyone. I don't understand anything right now so I'm just not going to think about it. I had an annoying debate with myself about taking my SN tonight but logic wins in the end as I know for sure my sister would hear me throwing up(she's a light sleeper) and would come check on me. Again, not gonna think about that anymore right now though.

Sounds like my husband. If a little was good, then his assumption that was that more must be better.
He used to order his toast burnt. He'd tell them to burn it and they would always think he was joking, or they would say, "You don't really want us to burn it, do you?" and he would reply, "Yes, burn it! Leave it in there until flames are shooting out of the toaster. That's how you know it's done". And he would do the same thing with his coffee and soup. It had to be "nuclear hot"- not just regular hot but "nuclear"- or else he would send it back. :pfff:

That is exactly how my mother has her toast. Every single time I've made it for her in the past she wants me to put it back in like twice so it's completely black. She says she likes it crispy and it's not as good any other way. While I sort of get it I still prefer slightly soft toast myself.

omg, I like my coffee so I can down it like a shot lol, and toast lightly browned just so it can melt butter or something, and I can cram it in....

I'm noticing a common thing here rofl.

Someone said this in another thread about you, but sometimes your storytelling really consumes the reader (in a good way). I guess i was having a very emotional day anyways, but i'm almost in tears reading your post.
