>sigh<. I'm also awake. I slept on one side until my arm and my shoulder were hurting so much I had to get up. Then I turned around and slept on the other side until the same thing happened on that side as well. I don't know what to do. There's no comfortable position I can sleep in. My whole body aches and I already took some pain medicine so, what else is there to do? I'm stumbling around my bedroom and I'm so tired I can't hardly hold my head up, but every time I lay down, I end up in so much pain that I just have to get back up. It sucks!
______________________________

All I can think of to do now is to learn how to sleep standing up like horses do. Don't know how that's ever going to happen though. I'm assuming at some point I'm just going to collapse and I won't have any choice but to sleep, or black out, or be unconscious in some way.

I don't know what to advise. With me, my body shuts itself down eventually out of sheer exhaustion. But I only get around an hour or so before I'm up again to go to the loo. I think your body will MAKE you sleep eventually, which is enough to keep you alive but not enough to keep you functional. Silly question, but can you sleep on your back? I used to be unable to do that due to breathing issues, but I can do it now, my body adapted out of need. I still wake up unable to breath sometimes though.

Well, that's part of the problem. I can't sleep on my back right now because I injured a muscle that's right underneath my right chest the other day. It's very sore and tender and now when I lay on my back I can't take a very deep breath and without it being very painful. And it hurts when I lay on my back because it flattens out and stretches it, which makes it hurt. That's why I was trying to lie on either side. But I can't even turn over in bed without it hurting. When I want to turn over, I have to get out of bed, turn around, and then get back in bed and lay on the other side. And I definitely can't lay on my stomach because that's where the muscle is and I'd be laying right on top of it. It's very swollen and painful.
And I looked online and it said doctors won't do anything about it unless it stays this way for two or three weeks. Otherwise, they just tell you to take a Tylenol, put some ice on it, and rest. Well, how you're supposed to rest when you can't lie down comfortably?

Damn, yeah, sorry if I missed those details in your earlier posts, my head's all over the place right now too. I often find myself in a similar position with bowel pain that just gets worse and worse and no amount of pain relief helps. I endure it cus i have no choice, I actually can't take painkillers due to the effect they have on the bowel, so I spend many nights in tears. Hopefully with you the pain will subside as the injury heals, but you'll still have to endure in the interim. Maybe your pain relief regime will become more effective as the injury heals. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear about your issues with bowel pain. That must be horrible. Especially since it's a chronic condition and you can't take any painkillers.

I assume at some point my brain just won't be able to take it anymore and I'll just go to sleep because it won't be able to stay awake any longer period.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble sleeping too. I keep sleeping and waking up. I guess at least I'm sleeping some. I hope @Jean4 was able to finally get some sleep and that @Squiddy was also able to sleep and wasn't awake due to throwing up all night again. None of us seem to be having a good time recently as far as sleeping goes.

Yes, everyone seems to be having an issue right now that's affecting their sleep.

I have my injury that's affecting my sleep and I also have insomnia.

@Jean4 has had several nights in a row now of insomnia. I really hope she's sleeping right now.

I think @Carina is having a manic episode or something.

And @Squiddy has been having stomach issues and throwing up.

I think @Morphinekiss was having insomnia recently too. I hope she's also getting some rest tonight.

And I think many of the other people on this thread have insomnia too, as well as other problems that affect their ability to sleep.

We all just seem to be a mess on this thread. LOL!

I'm up. Suicidal thoughts are a little worse today. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't been able to take my meds in a couple of days.

@BlueWidow, have you tried a heated mattress pad for the muscle pain that you are having? It helps me when my fibromyalgia is causing all over pain and the timeline suggests that you are past the point where I've would help. Also, muscle relaxants might be helpful. I am thinking that you might have to get some from an online pharmacy. Robaxacet is otc in Canada.

So I ended up telling my friend about the site last night (didn't mention the name but still), she didn't exactly agree but she wasn't against it and she said that she was glad that I have found this in the difficult world we live in. I don't know what to think.

I told my nurse practitioner about this site and he ended up finding it. He was against it, but said the site was interesting.

Did he find you?

She immediately asked about it, but recanted that request because she (again, like always) knew she'd find something she didn't want to see. I can't say I didn't expect it, but it definitely threw me off.

That's good, I'm concerned of even using my dentist because the US' laws are so funky. I don't want to commit (haha funny choice of words) myself to something and then the person I confide in tells the authorities.

In case you want some bluegrass.

Oh man I feel you there. I'm on day 4 of no lithium and I'm starting to feel it. Meds make a difference and it sucks sometimes.

Yeah it does. I also take lithium. I'm gonna try to take my meds today and hopefully, I can hold it all down without vomiting.

Lithium is a bitch to have to take, so many things you're not "supposed" to do. I'm about to finally take my nightly dose after 4 days of either not taking it or not taking it as prescribed. I look forward to passing out and actually sleeping for once, but I seem to have lost my glasses last night so that is a bit concerning..

Yeah. So many things you can't take with lithium such as psychedelics. I wanted to try some, but oh well. Lithium doesn't make me tired at all.

I mean, I know you're not "supposed" to, but I partake anyway. As far as I see it, psychs have been there for me before I was prescribed meds, and I will continue to treat myself with them even if I have to be more aware of the side effects. Lucky duck! I had to lower my dose because it was making me pass out at work, so now I'm on a very low dose and it's not helping.

I want to take some acid, but heard that that plus lithium can cause seizures and I feel like I'd be more likely to have one since I had one when I was a baby.

You're definitely not wrong. From what I understand it's the way it could react that is super tricky. Apparently when you peak on LSD it's more of a plateau so it's quite extended and possibly confusing. I haven't done it a lot since I've done L but I can definitely tell that there's a difference. Mushrooms are seemingly safe, though.

I just don't want to risk it so I'll wait til when I'm no longer on it. Plus I'm on invega which will counteract the effects.
