That would be rather ironic considering they were going to put you in the hospital yesterday for your thoughts. . . only to have your stomach turn around and kill.

Or maybe ironic if you end up in the hospital (but a different one?) because of the stomach pain and nausea...

Wow... it took my mom (glad she went to the bank over me heehee).... almost an hour to get to the bank to make a deposit.... the bank is actually 15 minutes away.
This is why I don't ever want to go anywhere after 5, and why I always want her to do it during the day.... it takes normal time during the day, 4x the time at night, because everyone and their dog, cat parakeet, goldfish, kids, python, car, truck, train, and hamster all in a single file 5mph line going to the store at 5.

What's bothering you the most, if you don't mind my asking?

Will you be offended if i suggest random shit to you?
No I won't and what's bothering me most is my feeling of incompetence and my difficulty articulating myself possibly due to a learning disability

OKAY SQUIDDY GET READY

learning disability: Is there any way you can see a psychiatrist or someone who specializes in diagnosing such things?

i don't think there's anything wrong with having difficulty articuating yourself. My ex was like that and it just meant she needed more time, time away, to tr and figure things out on her own. Maybe that's your case. It is difficult to be immediately articulate about one's feelings and everything else. So many things have to come together at once. There are workarounds practically for this sort of thing.

what do you mean by your incompetence? I remember the thing we mentioned about hair, but what else makes you feel like youre incompetent?

I was thinking about seeing a speech language pathologist for my articulation issues. I think I have expressive language disorder. For the incompetence issue, there's so many things I don't know how to do such as taxes, changing a tire, how to keep a job, how to buy a house or apartment etc. Just things like that plus more

Hate to tell you. I'm 51. I can't do any of those things. I couldn't pass my road test so I don't drive.

You my dear have a low self esteem problem. Not incompetence as you demonstrated by coding, and graduating from college.

well all those things to do... most don't know how to do honestly. Actually no one knows how to do except the professionals, you just toss money at them and they do it for you

Ah ok. Yes, try and do that! see what they have to say - a professional opinion might really help.

Have you tried to learn how to do your taxes, or change a tire, or keep a job, etc.? If so, what happened?

I don't have a job yet, but I wouldn't even know where to start with taxes.

I do have low self esteem and I need to get back to coding as I've been lazy lately

Don't put pressure on yourself to figure things out before you have had a chance to take a crack at it. Just think of every failure as a learning experience, inching you closer to success. You have to practice with certain things, coding of all things. You need to get real used to failure, and turning that into motivation that can propel you forwards.

Whether it's the job, or taxes, wait until you get into that position before you worry about it. And once youre there, start by collecting as much information as you can. Taxes are pretty simple - the laws have been interpreted a million times so you should be able to find a start easily. In terms of a job, think about starting small and moving incrementally. It's okay to make mistakes, it doesn't mean you dont' deserve to be there, just that you're going through your own learning process. That's totally normal.
SQUIDDY CAN YOU DO HALLUCINOGENICS? LSD, DMT, shrooms, etc....?

I"m younger than you both at 43, but I can't do that stuff... ok I can do a tire. but I was stuck on the side of a road, but men stopped to help, and the men couldn't help me even!
but yeah.... point is... gender... age... nothing matters... some things not everyone can do, and some lists of "i can't do them" probably 95% of the world can say the same

Articulation issues being one day, I had to call CVS about one of my meds and I needed to write down what I wanted to say or else I wouldn't have been able to say what I wanted to say

Nothing wrong with that. You make the adjustments you need to live as best as you can.

OK Squiddy.... gonig to tell you something I don't think I"ve told others.... you know how I can program and I do IT stuff...

I have drastic issues reading at times. I cannot read aloud, at all. I "read aloud" by reading a line, memorizing it, reciting it from memory, breathing in, while quick-memorizing, and repeating. I NEVER read aloud, I'm always reciting from memory. The reason I do well in speeches and don't need note-cards (except for memory refreshing?) yep, I can't read from them! If I did try to read aloud without memorizing?

For example:
1) This sentence here if I memorized and spoke aloud as if I did it live.
2) This sentence if here memorized spoke I and loud a as I did it if live.

I typed sentence 1 first, I then did other things, then read it aloud without memorizing it first and typed it as close as I could to what I said into 2.

And it's not the first time I've done that. I've had to write down what I want to say to the insurance company too

Then you've adapted! good for you :)

You've figured out how to make things work for yourself in spite of your own circumstances. That is praise worthy!!
