I think he checks to make sure the house is ok... as it's on the way to the post office that he goes to... and he doesn't have internet at home (and he won't just take my username/password for free wifi so he can use at his place because updates would take too long) so he stops by to check messages.

Some are shared, although a lot like anything of importance are mine... or she pays and then is like "I need money in my account" or I look and her account is overdrawn, so I put money in her account just so it's not an overdraft fee that would just be more than not.

She's been on disability for 10 years now? it's been a while. so her income is set. it's the only reason I've just been wanting a single payment worthwhile so she can survive for a while, and even though the boyfriend annoys me--he can at least move in and together they'd be comfortable.

And while I know he can show up or drive by at random times, he wouldn't come inside except in the daytime. He has a key to the house.

So like when she does possibly with little notice go with her friends overnight, I know I"d be able to do something, and he wouldn't come in, it provides a window of 10:30-6am where there's basically 0% chance of anyone showing up shy of emergency (literal emergency--like her or her friend going to ER)
So... basically a clear window... just... semi rushed if not given warning... and it could be canceled at last minute, whereas if I could've scheduled things--it would've been set in stone basically
It's very kind of you to try to set her up with some money so she and her boyfriend can live comfortably together for a while after you're gone, especially considering the way she treats you sometimes. I'm hoping she doesn't treat you that way all the time.
10:30 pm-6am is a good window. I would think that should be more than enough time. I think Stan's SN thread says the most amount of time you need is four hours. I mean, some people may need more than that, but I doubt anyone needs 8 hours, unless it's like Superman or they have the slowest metabolism in the whole world.

i'm sure it's making it difficult though that you can't have a set plan. You're saying your mom deciding to leave could happen quickly, or it could be canceled at the last minute, or you could have to rush. It's hard enough just planning to ctb without having to deal with so many different possibilities of what could happen. I'll keep hoping everything works and she decides to go with her friend and they don't have any emergencies. That's the option that will give you the most time, correct? I'm hoping everything works out the way you need it to work out.

Yeah, I mean she's had a problem once... and that was when the mom of the friend (who was in her 90s) was taken to the ER... so like really unlike to have an issue. And I know that she always calls about 9-10:30, and if she doesn't I can call to make sure she doesn't call... and I always check to see "oh what time were you coming? I just need to make sure the outside door is unlocked".

So yeah... just have to see what will happen... a lot also depends on lawyer meeting and things too.

I didn't want to post this on Stan's thread because I'll bump it up before I go to bed later, but did you see the other one that I posted of the bunny eating popcorn?

Dont worry, the science of the malliard reaction means the proteins of your burnt chicken will just be rearranged and taste better :pfff:
Well it was a dream, so there's that lol
ok but i believe in positive thinking and manifesting your beliefs, so lets pls pray/dream for my oxygen tubing and nitrogen tank to arrive by next week lmao

It was just browned like I like it in the end. I had it on low anyway.

Surprisingly went well. Other than being very tired all day I had a good day I'd say. Thank goodness when expecting the worst normal occurrences feels like a good thing.

I didn't know chicken had so much science behind it.

Back in high school my chemistry teacher would get clear gelatin, make it one color, but flavor it a different color... make large batches of it--and put it in the actual school cafeteria to mess with the entire school!

They also liked altering what we were talking about animal wise based on what was being served too rofl. they were evil lol.

That's actually kind of wild. My high school would never have done something like that. Kinda wish they would do wacky stuff like that would have made it less boring around there.

i'm glad you had a good day.

And you must've never seen the show Good Eats with Alton Brown on the Food Network. I think now they also show it on the Cooking Channel. He discusses all that kind of stuff, but in a way that makes it interesting. If you're interested at all in food or cooking, that's a really interesting show if you've never heard of it before. Not that you probably have much time to watch TV right now with your visitors still there.

I loved Good Eats with Alton Brown! I loved watching him cook meat, even though I was a vegetarian! He just made it so interesting.

so far it's about a butcher who was an orphan and seems to hate his life. SO relatable

I just liked all the funny stuff they did and that he used the big pieces of foam to represent starches and all that stuff. And there was the lady in the refrigerator. I just liked all the funny characters that he had on the show. I really like the Thanksgiving episodes where they would show the fake members of his family like his sister Marsha. And, of course, I loved W, the sarcastic Asian lady that he always went to to buy his kitchen equipment. They had one behind the scenes show where he introduced all those people and told who they really were. Apparently, the lady that played W, if I remember correctly, she was actually his chiropractor or something. LOL!
He also had one episode where he made biscuits with his real grandmother. She made biscuits her way and he made them the way he liked to make them and then they compared them to see who's were better, and of course, his grandmother's biscuits won the contest. He said he'd spend his whole life trying to make biscuits as good as hers. So sweet!

Of course the moment I finish making my food apparently the youngest child is sick and crying and threw up and the slightly older one just peed all over himself and yeah. It seems to have calmed down now but I'm starting to get pissed at life for not letting everyone have a nice day at the same time. A ridiculous notion I know but still come on really? Not even for an hour?
