Ah yes, the classical ''life is a gift because we have pizza and videogames yay!''. First of all, how do they even know if OP likes Marvel or Disney or whatever comic stuff or anime? But that's redditors we talk about, they love to act like they-know-it-all, even the life of people they never met.

Second, yeah there's a lot of bullshit to watch and it's enjoyable when you watch it. But after? You'll forget it immediately, in one week you won't even remember anymore. Your mind be making up space for the unforgettable suffering and bad moments that will come ;). I said and I will say again: Good moments are few in number, they are superficial as intensity and won't last long. Bad moments instead are plenty, they are very intense and last a lot. So why should OP keep living for such a superficial reason as a stupid movie or an anime if the bad will prevail in a short time again?

I've noticed similar things browsing, threads where you announce you're leaving that day or within an hour just lead to worthless replies like that. Sometimes better threads are made and actual suicidal people talk to each other about stuff like this and otherwise. I don't have a reddit thread so I don't really save any threads, but here's an example. I'm sure a couple of dummies are around but a lot of the responses are just sympathetic suicidal people.

Lol, too true, before finding this place I joined a random one on Reddit, the poster was a man from Thailand, who had lost his job, was going to lose his home, and gave a large list of disabilities he suffered from, mental and physical. All he wanted was warm wishes, which I gave and was promptly permabanned for as well as being told that I was reported to "authorities" for encouraging suicide. Lolwut? First day first post, good god they're pathetic.

I partially understand. It's not shocking that someone would lack being articulate when they hardly know someone and the first interaction is they're going to be dead in an hour or in a day. Still, I think it's a flaw of them to fundamentally assume it must be prevented or such drivel should be said at all. It's what happens when society inherently thinks that you must live at all cost.

Most of the time, yes. But I find myself checking it out because suicide is largely neutered on the internet and sometimes other people who are suicidal can get their viewpoint across a bit.

I mean it seems ridiculous because everyone who ends up on this website are jaded and tend to trend towards nihilism, but for normal people, even something as superficial as waiting for a new season of a tv show can be enough to delay a suicide.

Yeah understandable. Acute suicidal people are a lot easier to reason out of suicide vs long term suicidal people. But like I said, people cling on to life for the most superficial reasons. I remember being younger telling myself I wouldn't kill myself if my favorite tv show got renewed (it didn't sadly).

I don't think it's enviable, but it is a bit baffling to me at least. I remember searching and searching suicide again, and just finding trite garbage again. These people really do contribute to the conclusion is there is no decent answer out there.

If something happens that peaks your pain, the prospect of a new season isn't even going to register to you. We're one crisis away from the end.
