Hello forum people
I thought we could share some food ideas. We do Bombay potato with veggie sausages so here's my contribution.

We use veggie sausages and a sachet of Schwartz Bombay potato mix and it's a warm and filling grub. Dunk a naan bread and you're all set.

With the Bombay sachet just add it in a frying pan to olive oil plus 5 tablespoons of water

When mixed add chopped onions (half an onion will do) and tomatoes with 1 cubed par boiled potato and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

The amount a sachet makes will give about 3 servings.

It will keep in fridge for another day if you can't face it 3 days in a row.

There's two of us here and we stumbled on the sausage & Bombay potato idea after leftover curry. :-)

Are you my dad? He makes exactly the same thing and it's delicious, although some of the brands veggie sausages disintegrate a bit

No way!
Yeah some brands made of vegetables do. These aren't those ones. Cauldron are a nice brand. Quorn make sausages too but they're a bit dry.

Cauldron are a nice brand. Quorn make sausages too but they're a bit dry.

Yeah, there are just so many veggie options now! My mother used to work for quorn so our freezer used to be full of that stuff, I got a bit tired of quorn after a while

Never been a sausage guy myself. I can make a mean homemade Shrimp Alfredo though. Took a cooking course for 2 years and it paid off alright. Too lazy to type a full recipe here but some quick advice of mine: try making chocolate chip cookies with an extra bit of vanilla extract. Makes them a lot better in my opinion

My favorite winter drink:
simmer milk + grated ginger + a nice cinnamon stick + 1 small spoon unsweetened cocoa powder + 1 small spoon Colombian coffee and a lil bit of honey. Pour the drink into a sieve before serving, add grilled marshmallows to your taste and don't forget to sprinkle cocoa powder on top! Enjoy
(Sometimes I replace the cocoa and honey with grated snickers)

I was upset they stopped doing some items we loved. so now we improvise.

Yes, but at least the meatballs are back in! They're so good. Also the factory broke down a while ago so there was a bit of a shortage, that's fixed thankfully

I took a cooking class in high school and during the microwave unit we each had to find a recipe and make the dish. I found a recipe for sriracha salmon, and it's so good.

Spoiler: Sriracha Salmon Recipe

Ingredients
1 - single salmon fillet
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1-2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
2-3 fresh cut lemon slices
1 tbsp parsley

Instructions
Rinse salmon fillet with water and pat dry.
Place the salmon skin side down in a microwave safe container.
Season the salmon with salt and pepper then set aside.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sriracha sauce.
Generously spread the mayonnaise mixture on top of the fillet.
Add lemon slices and parsley.
Cover the dish tightly with microwave safe plastic wrap.
Microwave the fish for 3.5 minutes.
Check the center of the fillet for doneness with a fork.
If there is any uncooked fish, microwave for another 30-45 seconds.

I thought the Quorn meatballs were a bit too salty. I tried the Linda McCartney ones. They were better in my view.

Nice. I'll be sure to look for a jar the next time I go grocery shopping!
