The depressive but also uplifting music of Townes van Zandt

Townes van Zandt was a manic depressive songwriter that helped a lot of people to cope with their depression. He was a sensitive loner and did every drug under the sun. He once said something like: "Not all of my songs are sad, some are just hopeless." I don't want to force someone to listen to the music I like, but if you've got 5 minutes I would welcome you to hear three of my favourite songs:

Nothing: this song to me is the soundtrack to nihilism.
Here are some small excerpts of the lyrics:

I haven't listened to a whole lot of his stuff but what I've heard I've really liked. My faves are Lungs and Waiting Around to Die (same, man). These 3 were all beautiful as well. Thanks for sharing.
