I plan to jump from a very high bridge.

The reason the day is fast approaching is because my money is almost gone. My parents who are barely making it financially will give me money. I can't leech off them anymore. It's not fair to them. The issue is I can't ctb after I accept money from them because then they'll end up feeling like they aided my death.

The money given to me would partially be used for gas to get to the destination. Their guilt would be huge and they don't deserve it.

I'm so afraid though.

How do I stay strong and resolute until the end?

I don't know. I tried to prepare by researching and looking at the place (google streetstuff, google world), knowing my motions, visualizing. I also looked back on my life. Engaged the fact that I will soon be perished. That my life will be -August 2018. Tried to engage every emotion of doubt, anxiety. I am at a point where I know it's the right decision. I also know and try to accept that my emotions will not cooperate in the last moments.

How do I disconnect from caring about how my parents will feel?

I don't know. Mine are dead. But you also do it to care for them, you said?

When I got my things in order (not quite finished), I did this with the awareness that I am helping others and that this is like closing my own coffin.

It might be a sign you are not quite ready.

Will you drink beforehand?

I try to avoid it, but will take a bottle with me.

I try to live it as a fluid, sacred act: Moving to the right spot, getting on the small concrete railing, breathing out to leave my last attachments and entrusting myself to the void in the right position. Wanting to enjoy my free flight.

So would the method of death be drowning? There is a story on Google of a guy who jumped off the golden gate, once he jumped his bones broke and would have drowned but a seal saved him, by bumping him to the surface everytime he started to submerge, ultimately being rescued, he now goes to schools, in some bid to talk about depression.

Yeah, that's Kevin Hine's I believe from The Bridge documentary. What makes you think that his case represents the majority though? We don't get to hear from the deceased, which would be 98% of the jumpers off of that bridge. I would think that most would be knocked out immediately when hitting the water, if not killed.

The method would be blunt force trauma. The bridge I picked is much higher than the Golden Gate

Forward. I can deal better with the known than the unknown.
What if your survival instinct kicks in and you position yourself to land on your feet as you're falling?

If the bridge is really high, it won't matter if you land on your feet.

That would not be optimal, wouldn't it?

The position I intend to hold makes that less likely. Also the fall on rocks is quite high.

Why should the instinct not kick in when falling backwards? It's an instinct, reflex.

If you are so terrified-don't do it. It is not right for you.
Are you 100% sure you want this?
What about your parents?

Guilt is a bitch. I hope you can do it without thinking too much in them.

Dude, I wish you everything go right. Good luck.

It's normal to be really scared. You're venturing to the greatest unknown after all. You'll need to muster up a vast amount of reckless bravery. Some drunken courage might help, I know I'll get some.

I try and keep that in mind that death is universal but deep down I feel like I'm going to live forever. That thought makes this all harder. I suppose it's from being told all your life that death is evil and scary.

There's a barrier I have to climb to jump. I want to drink but I don't know when to do it. I want to be able to climb the barrier without tripping over myself. What do you suggest?

How high is it? Will bringing some kind of stool help?

Drink before climbing?
How much should I drink before stopping? I'm afraid of passing out or becoming disoriented.
Just to the point of being just drunk, not excessively drunk though

Maybe start drinking once you're at the top, gives you the boost you may need to go through with it if you can't do it
