Me personally, I find the idea of CTB to be extremely fascinating, always have. The concept is so taboo yet there's something so strangely enamouring. Even when I haven't been dealing with these thoughts myself, I end up looking into cases of it happening. Matter of fact, I have this nasty habit of looking up cases local to me and looking way too deeply into them, as much information as there is available.
Even currently, while I don't feel very personally connected to the idea, I ended up looking into this forum. Maybe just as some sort of morbid curiosity.

Have any you, at any point, found yourself interested in CTB as a topic, or purely as a means to an end?

Ever since I started considering CTB, I've been reading books on the subject and found it fascinating discovering all the psychological theories and personal accounts of people that have tried to CTB. It's one of the few things that interests me at this point, but I do think it will bring about my end at some point.

I've definitely been interested by it. I had this old book of scary stories for kids that talked about a "Suicide Song" that was actually called "Gloomy Sunday." Apparently a suspicious number of people committed suicide after hearing it on the radio and it was banned in a few countries for it. I've heard the song and didn't hear anything particularly devastating, but I wonder if I listened to it while suicidal if it might do something

Interesting. I've also found myself consuming content like this significantly more at times where I've been at my lowest, mentally, and it definitely doesn't make things any better. Guess it does help me rationalize things a bit more easily.

Reading the stories by the families and friends definitely does put me off a bit though, regardless of whether I'm in a state of heavy ideation or if I'm reading about it in passing.

Oh yeah, the rumor about this old Hungarian(?) song! I've read about it, but it doesn't seem like anything other than sheer unfortunate coincidence. Still weird that it happened though.

Also, you said you read about it in a children's book? That's kinda fucked up lol, I don't think I've ever seen this topic be directly discussed in that type of media
