Just wanted to create a thread for terminally ill members (are there many here?), so that we can share our plans, etc. So much of this forum is dedicated to other users (nothing against anyone else, to be clear), it would be nice for the terminal to have a spot to discuss the unique situations we are in with respect to suicide and end of life planning.
About me: I don't have a strict prognosis, about 2 years is likely, with significant physical and mental deterioration before then. Want to avoid suffering and leaving family with memories of me as a disintegrating individual. Plan: tentative N, though haven't tried to obtain it yet. Maybe travel to death with dignity jurisdiction, but I want to go as much as possible on my own terms/schedule.
Not sure how I want to spend my remaining time either--so far, trying to work and keep things normal, but part of me wonders if I shouldn't move back with family while I still am somewhat functional.
Anyone here in a similar position? Have you plans to exit before your illness takes its toll? Have you taken steps to be prepared?
