Never heard about it, I thought you meant Coffee. But googling I see it's a plant with a bitter taste. Bitter herbs are supposedly really healthy. When one is tasting bitter, brain sends signal to the liver to detoxify. I think N has more of a chemical taste, not sure if it's bitter at all.
What I had was a potent kava kava extract that I mixed with honey, it completely numbed my mouth and made me feel drunk from a single spoonful. I'm not sure tbh if it was hand strained traditional or not, it was in a powder form if that helps to answer your question.
I've had kava and it didn't taste that bad to me. Bitter and earthy (a little like mud), but kind of an expected taste, if that makes sense. I don't suspect N would taste the same at all (I have no experience) - seems to taste a lot more synthetic/like chemicals.
