• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Would it be relatively fine if I took twice the recommended amount of my antidepressants because it doesn't feel like they're working at all

Don't fuck around with your meds like that on your own, you need to talk to a doctor.

This could be caused by many things. The dose may be too low. It may need longer to build up in your system and work [this can take months]. Some other med or food could be fucking with its absorption. The med just might not work for you and you'll need to try another.

Changing your dosage can also alter or worsen side effects.

Agree with the person above for sure! Also, keep in mind that different people absorb medications slower or faster sometimes. It also depends on your diagnosis because certain medications are designed for depression vs bipolar vs other conditions.

It took me multiple years and lots of various meds to find the right fit, so talk with your doctor and advocate for yourself!

https://www.webmd.com/interaction-checker/default.htm - Great place to check medication interactions to bring up to your provider! Also keep in mind if it should be eaten with food or not + some drugs interact with foods (grapefruit is super common!)

It took me almost a decade to finally land on a med combo that's kept me stable. Sometimes you're just unlucky and it takes a while to find what works.
