Having done a bit of reading around, it certainly SEEMS possible to via a diphenhydramine overdose, commonly found in Nytol tablets. According to two medical journals, in the upper range 40mg per KG bodyweight is lethal. On that basis I'd need about 70 tablets. Surely it can't be that simple?

Just take 70/80 pills with some alcohol and anti-emetics and go to sleep?

Its not that simple. Over-the-counter drugs cant kill you, nor can the majority of Rx drugs. Youll just end up very sick, not dead. Possibly with organ damage. It's not a pleasant ride either. Do some reading of past posts on diphenhydramine to learn more.

What does LD50 mean? ... LD stands for "Lethal Dose". LD50 is the amount of a material, given all at once, which causes the death of 50% (one half) of a group

Ok so when it's saying LDmin for Human oral, what does that mean? The figures I've read indicate 50mg per kg is lethal, equating to taking about 70 tablets for me.

idk but could be worth a shot whats the worst that can happen end up with damaged organs or as a vegetable

That's helpful thank you. Anti-emetics worth a shot in conjunction then? Based on a 2000mg dose as they're saying, that would only be 40 tablets. I'm leaning towards 80, alcohol, anti-emetics being a viable solution?

Most DPH are 25mg each so that would be 80. From personal experience, I don't care for Oding on anything otc ever again. Lots of vomiting and blacking out. Getting pumped was one of the most painful experiences. I don't ever want to be sent to the psych ward again!

People have died from a DPH overdose, I know from speaking to a paramedic about it. I once took about 1200mg at once. I was at a fairly low weight at the time and hoped it would be enough, it was all I had. My research suggested that doses upwards of 1000mg can be fatal. It didn't kill me obviously. I was just very delirious. Maybe around 4000mg would do it, however it is not certain and can have significant long term consequences if you survive it.
