• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Most people spend countless hours of effort trying to become someone, or somebody. They also spend time trying to remove the negatives such as illness, confusion, and suffering. We become attached to concepts, pleasures, relationships, and much more. We wish to become someone with more of these attachments, and less of the negatives. However suicide is not about becoming someone, it's about becoming no one. No human has ever lived a life without negatives, however once you suicide you are no longer human, no longer trying to become someone.

For a long time I did things opposite to becoming someone, all without even being suicidal. I really knew how to waste my life

The thought of suicide has always appealed to me personally as I wish to be nothing and no one, I don't want to associate with this life in anyway or have anything to do with this world. Having to carry the burden of existence could never appeal to me, it's pointless, painful and just leads to unnecessary suffering being experienced. I just want to cease to exist and be forgotten about, I'm not meant for existing in any way and to die is what I'm meant for instead. I view becoming anything as being a horrific and undesirable thing and non existence is ideal to me.

Meaninglessness

Existence is absolutely meaningless

Due to the high life expectancy, most people will become suicidal when they live long enough. The reason is the absence of human euthanasia. The body doesn´t last as long as people are expected to live. We will be sick and disabled. We want to take away the pain. Why should we suffer for years in meaningless suffering? When someone has completed life - why continue living in meaninglessness?

It sounds somewhat like you're describing Buddhism, only in Buddhism non-being is the ultimate goal. It sounds as if for you, existence and attachments are positive things?

temporarily, as they prevent the mind from crumbling from within to the negative thoughts. Attachments can temporarily prevent the mind from turning to the more negative aspects of our existence, at least for me.
