• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

In some shitty countries, killing yourself is "illegal", but really it is also illegal for itself, cause if you try to kill yourself and you fail you are put in the mental hospital, forcedly and without your consent they give you drugs and do things like "ECT therapy"
Here in Poland where I live (but I think also in other countries too) there is something like "forcedly commitment to metal hospital", this is not real choice :/

Unfortunately, it's seen as something negative because it would lose control over us. Imagine those who plan to do it in one or two years, for example. They might commit crimes or spend all their money. They wouldn't mind earning more if the little they save was spent on just the bare minimum to survive day to day. Then many would save up to indulge in luxuries in their final days, and thus lose control over the most basic human impulses.
I believe that in an advanced society, suicide wouldn't exist because people would be happy, happy like in Huxley's "Brave New World," or in a society where it would be legal, safe, and peaceful, where it would just be a formality so you wouldn't commit crimes, wouldn't have debts as such, and so you could leave the world without owing anything to anyone.

I understand, it's just so cruel and dreadful to me how wanting to cease existing is a crime with the suffering and torture of existing seen as to force and prolong no matter what, I'd just never wish to exist in this prison like anti-suicide world where those who wish to choose when they cease existing are punished in horrific ways.

I always suffer so much from existing in this reality where wishing for an permanent escape from this futile, torturous existence is a crime, I'd just never wish for any of this, it's terrifying to me how a human can suffer for so long with no limit as to how much they can be tortured just to die in agony from old age.
