Suicide in the news

In the citybim from there's often syicide including people jumping in front of trains and either jumping of motorway bridges or running in front of cars on the motorway or sn
Those seem to be most common
Is it wierd I always envy them and almost get mad that I've either not succeeded with attempts or chickened out on other occasions
I always wander when I read them if there people from this site
Does anybody else see a suicide then check here to see if there's a post from someone

The was someone who ctb by train in my town about a week ago. I came here to check, but couldn't find any recent goodbye threads. Happened real close to my apartment though. So close that I heard the train trying to slow down. I didn't bother getting up to look and see what was going on at the time though. Found out a few days later.

I think that most people who ctb never write about it on the internet, they just plan their method and leave when the time feels right for them.
But I really envy those who have died, they are lucky as they are free from this cruel nightmarish world. To permanently be gone from this world is ideal to me, so of course it's not weird to envy them. To me it makes sense to wish to be gone as death is the absence of everything and as long as someone exists they are capable of suffering to such great extents.

I've not been able to connect anyone from here but then I do live in A rural location in England with cliffs nearby. The vast majority of people who ctb have no contact with this site. That's presumed, based on the members total and the number who globally ctb. We've had many people taking to the cliffs in recent years. Young, old, family, couples. Some heartbreak stories I'm afraid.

I've spent a lot of time reading news articles about attempts at the notorious cliffs hotspot. You're right, some of the stories are so sad & heartbreaking. I do often wonder if that person came on here first for research & support.

Any suicide articles, especially SN related I can't help but think it might have been someone from here who posted a goodbye thread. If it was, at least they would have felt like people did care about them during their final moments in this flipping awful world. Hopefully a pro lifer didn't interfere with their thread though!
