In several parts of the world hanging bodies are found after being there for years. Who knows how many are not found. A quick internet search and there is lots to read on that very subject. Short answer though is yes, if you find the right area, it is very conceivable to never be found.

thanks for your reply.
from my internet research, the results mostly turn up as "aokigahara". (which even got a team to search bodies)

i'm planning to do it in western-central europe.
but when i searched my preferred forest to hang, can't find any result.
not sure if no one's doing it there

I believe it will be relatively easy to do. As long as you go deep into the forest you won't be found for a while. There's many people that haven't been found for years as the forest is a very big place to search. I mean, there's even been murder cases that finally come back to life due to someone finding a skeleton after 10 years. Secluded places are ideal to ctb if you want to be a part of nature when you do, or you simply don't want to hurt your loved ones by being found, can't do it at home, etc. I don't know your story or living / family situation, but in some cases, with families, it hurts them more when there isn't a body. As it can provide them with a bit of comfort and closure having your remains.

I hope you can be at peace soon.

thanks for your message (^_^)

i wanna leave anonymously... sometimes it goes into the news so i don't want that.
(if they find it in 10 years later, thats fine, most people will have forgotten me already.)
i'm also thinking if i have to leave my smartphone behind somewhere so less easy to find my identity :/

i also thought about jumping into a volcano, but its quite far away and i would have to climb all the way up =.=

I also don't want to be found, and have been thinking about how for a very long time.

My conclusion is that if you can get to that remote area of a forest or mountain, so can hikers... and they eventually will. I don't want to (ever) be found, so that thought scares me. In my opinion, the safest way to do that in a remote area is to have someone along who can hide your remains, but I've never found anyone willing to do that. If you don't care if you're found quite a bit later, though, a remote area may very well work for you.

I never thought about the volcano idea, probably because we don't really have them in my part of the world, but I always imagined they would have people watching them pretty often. Are there active volcanoes out there that are completely unattended?

I think the only 100 % certain way of never being found is the aformentioned method of jumping into and getting incinerated in a volcano. A 95 % certain way of never being found is to attach heavy weights to your body and jump or fall from a ship far out in the sea.

i think volcanoes are unattended,
i've read news that someone jumped into Hawaii, they know it only because he left a bag & a suicide note.

Mt Mihara, they built a barrier to prevent or reduce suicide.

i think it would be costly to keep employing people at active volcanoes

drowning sounds painful though, and i don't wanna be a water ghost, if ghosts are real

Indeed, according to most accounts, it's very painful to drown. But you will most probably not be found.
