Suicide Forest (Aokigahara)

I've been kind of fascinated with the Suicide Forest (Aokigahara) in Japan. Anyone plan on visiting, or know of anyone from who has? I'm sure many of you have seen the Vice video on the subject. It's actually quite soothing (I'll post it below).
There's also a movie about it which I have yet to see, called "The Sea of Trees". Anyone know where to watch this? If you've seen it, what are your thoughts? If you have any other thoughts about the Suicide Forest, please share them. Thanks.

Pretty sure it's on Netflix. I haven't watched it, because I kind of hate the actors.

I know of some YouTube videos that are really nice where this guy walks around places in Japan and films it, and he has a few of himself walking through there. I can share if you're interested. They're really well done.

Theoretically I would love to die peacefully in nature, if just some rando wouldn't film my dead body this would be great.

Watched a short, but interesting documentary about that place a few years ago. Not sure if it's the one you put up, because of course I'm not signed in to YT18+. Anyway, lovely place, so tranquil and vast. Go in, never come out. I very much like the idea.

Problem is I'm not Japanese and I could see them getting annoyed with western tourists, especially if they mistake you for those Logan Paul/YTer ghouls.

I've always been fascinated of things like this. The perception of culture and death, because death holds so many meanings to people and culture most definitely influences that. I wouldn't mind becoming one with nature and giving back to the world. I mean, I don't enjoy the state the world is in today, but if I could nurture a plant or a tree, that'd be nice.

I've seen documentaries on this place before … very eerie.

This poor guy though - what a wretched job to have to do every day... search for dead bodies.
It seems that he is very empathetic and deeply affected by those who passed there. That would take a heavy toll.

This is why I wan't my body to be cremated when I die. Scatter my ashes into the earth and let what's left of me contribute to something nice for once.
