• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Train conductors taught that jumpers are part and parcel of being a conductor on a rail line. He / she will not get tramatized, but rather they will get annoyed with the train delay to its stops.

Sorry, but that is too ridiculous for words. It's clearly denial to think in this way. No training programme exists that can prepare Joe Bloggs the train driver to have you splatter your inner organs over his train one morning.

This is the case in Japan. Do you mind if I ask you what country you hail from?

I'm from Italy, when the "Ferrovie dello Stato" (State Railways) had been privatized and became a joint stock company in 1992 they started to charge the damages and the delays, usually thousands of euros, caused by suicidal people: https://ricerca.repubblica.it/repubblica/archivio/repubblica/1994/06/26/il-suicida-paghi-danni.html

In comparison even the N looks like a cheap way to ctb LOL

My writing might have been a bit too harsh, but since human life doesn't seem to have much value these days, and the extreme, social media zombie narcissism brought on by the current technology of today, I honestly can't see how anyone could get upset beyond the inconvenience factor of a delayed train and some blood and guts to clean off.

JWL, I'm actually serious. I do think the western world has become quite harsh - specifically the USA. But I see western europe going the same way, though not as bad. It may also depend on locale - major cities have become major zombie narcissist hubs.

But fact is, even after one successfully ctb by train (or shoulf I say catch the train - ctt) for others who happened to be on the train, they will get over it quickly enough, including the conductor.

Yeah, right. Tell that to this train driver. As you can see, he's clearly over the moon because selfish bastard decided he probably wouldn't mind if he made him end his shift with brains on his windshield...

Just for argument sake, this could be a covert pr stunt done by the rail industry, or anti-suicide organizations.

If the man in that video clip is genuine and if what he says is genuine, then he is among the very, very rare exception.

It's not a matter of ''winning" -- and I'm not saying I'm right and your wrong. My views are based on my experiences and observations through my travels.

I wouldn't be here if I was so immune to this pain myself. But I would never dream of doing something like this, something which is quite immoral. I wouldn't want my ctb to cause harm to anyone else. It's just plain selfish!
I didn't claim you don't suffer. But maybe you and I just don't suffer enough yet...

OK, I'm sorry to be blunt, but I'm finding your take on this incredibly immature and selfish. You have evidence of the pain and distress your ill-thought out 'plan' will cause, but you don't want to face it. You just want to do what you want to do an fuck everyone else. Good luck with it all...

I respect that, I really do.

Do feel free to point me in the direction of a method that is effective with a high sucess rate - without the use of firearms, because guns are very difficult to acquire in Europe.

Do not judge someone else's way of wanting to ctb. You don't get a say in what the person wants to do. Yes, I understand that it would mentally screw somebody up, but that's their choice. Don't judge someone based on your beliefs, because not everybody will have the same views as you.

Thanks for your thoughts Ahg, but JWL has a point. When I decide to ctb, I do want to do so with minimal impact on others.

I would never suffer enough to impose it on an innocent person!!

All methods involve suffering to another in some form. If this method is not one you'd choose for personal and moral reasons, it's absolutely fine for you to say so, but I'm not sure the this is so selfish how could you do such a thing approach is in any way proper. This discussion around train drivers being a protected species has been done before, the train is a method that does work, often quickly and efficiently, and nobody should be negatively judged on this forum, as they regularly are, for choosing this method.

'...train drivers being a proteced species'. I'm not judgeing (or preaching), but we all have to live and/or die by SOME moral code of behaviour. What you say here in such a slick way is nothing short of 'yeah, tough on the driver, but I gotta do my thing, man. Gross selfishness! I want and have to ctb, but I don't feel like I want to crap over everyone else in my efforts. I've read a lot about 'work out your plan' on here, but it seems to me this kind of selfish ctb is no plan at all. Just me me me.

Well, how jolly nice. Unfortunately it is not the choice of the innocent victim that you mentally screw up. Damn selfish! Unbelievable...

The biggest "coward" can easily make huge claims about himself. Nobody can tell whether what you said is true. You may not even know well yourself.

Question: Can the incidence of train suicides be reduced by legalizing assisted suicide for all adults?

@JWL, a suicide is usually going to inconvenience at least one other person. I would agree that this whole train driver-thing is a bit weird. You don't ever hear anyone call for the mental well being of hotel staff, random bypassers and etc. It is a bit of an inconsistency imo.

I'm just saying that it is incumbent on US to minimize to zero or close the impact on innocent others of our ctb decisions. I'm stunned at how hard that seem to be for some members here. Maybe it's a generation thing. I'm of the older one...

Um...I know, myself. When I go, I won't go well if I 'take someone with me' in a figurative sense. That's in my plan. It SHOULD be in everyone's plan. Am I in some kind of parallel universe here??

And what does your 'Question' have to do with this issue?

Ethics come at a cost. Society tries a lot to make suicide difficult. Suicidal people often are weakened due to ill health. Can they afford to pay the prize of ethics in all cases?

Once upon a time,a train conductor stole Chinaski's girl.:haha:

Seriously though, one cannot treat people with kid gloves because his suicide might traumatize someone.
A train conductor has to expect at some point that he might see a suicide. It sort of comes with the job.
If it bothers him so much,he can change profession.
I mean i dont want to sound harsh, but by the same logic an EMT could be tired of retrieving all those N suicide corpses. What about him?Or what about the people in coastguard that retrieve the jumping corpses.Or the bus driver.Or the walker that finds the hanging corpse in the woods.

I mean you got to go the way you feel comfortable.
