Many yogis have done it. The Buddha has done it.

If one has had enough, why continue?

I don't know the proper scientific or spiritual name of this technique but they say It's possible.

I don't know how they do it though. I think It's usually related to the loss of desire for anything in the world, so they just "poof" and go.

Anyway, it's a method, not the easiest one but relatively natural, though.

Out of body experience via deep meditation?

If that is really possible, that needs a lot of training and will power.

I think It's more than that because they literally sever the link between the body and consciousness.

I don't think it can be done out of any aversion towards the world.

I think It's more "I've completed my mission, there's nothing further for me in this world" type of thing.

Very interesting. Would be a very nice way of ctb. But probably almost impossible.

I haven't heard of monks doing a deep meditation to sever the link between body and consciousness.

I just know a lot of them did self-mummification. They wouldn't drink water and they'd eat tree bark.
