Can you guys brainstorm some ideas of anchor points i can tie the rope to? there isnt a place high enough and its the only reason i still didn't ctb . the only places are in public and thats too risky as i could get interrupted.
I thought of stairs in my house back in my hometown but its my extended family and its like 15 people in the house

Full suspension you mean? Or partial?

Well I guess full suspension then and honestly, I have no idea. Full suspension seems to usually be done outside, on a tree.

- closet rod, if suitably sturdy
- door. create an anchor point by threading a strap through the top of a closed door attached to a large object on the other side that can't fit through. these are commercially available for cheap as "exercise band door anchors"

I take inspiration from the deaths of Lyle Stevik and Chris Cornell, there's photos of both online if you poke around.

as far as I know closet rods and doors are the two big indoor options if you don't have unusual features like a home gym with a squat rack or exposed rafters.

Hmmm. My door doesn't have a handle on the outside, would this work still?

The rod in my closet is wood and not metal. Do you think that would make a difference? Or
Do you think it would work if the door your using isn't a "main" door (Like your front door) and instead use your bathroom door? I live in indoor apartments so my front door leads out to a hallway and there are lots of cameras so the bathroom door is the only door I have access to.
We hear about the celebrities that hang themselves from the door knob (Robin Williams and Kate Spade I think) does anyone know the logistics for that method?
Also what would be a good ligature to use?
Do you think getting drunk and then doing it would make it easier

Multiple suggestions.

Double braided dock line is nice.

Wood closet rods will flex if you put too much weight on them. Many have plastic mounts. They are only engineered to hold clothing.

A simple slip knot. Research snd practice before an attempt. Do it right.

Doorknobs do work. A longer rope can tie to a knob and then go over the door. You can then hang higher on the other side with a better chance of success.

I'm wondering this as well. There is a small forest near my house that I'm debating of going to. Would definitely try to walk as deep as I possibly can and it would be on a Sunday evening (10-11 AM) so everyone will be in bed due to school/work the next day. No idea what tree to choose though. I was thinking of just climbing onto one and testing the branch by jumping on it a few times and swinging from it.
