Ok, so it's going to take a long time... but if I set about focussing on eating hard core... and just eat and eat and eat.... I wonder if in ten years perhaps I will die?......

I know I know I'm grasping at straws.... when I google it says obesity only decreases lifespan by 10 years...

If you can bear the "weight" of living for several years, the sheer amount of money you'd ought to spend on food and resisting the urge to ever get up and do anything with your life to avoid losing calories then maybe
They made it in "La Grande Bouffe"
This movie is the best possible version of this method lol.

I have witnessed this many times, as folks, mainly men, would retire and then ballon out in weight gain.

I remember one poor soul who retired from the government with a nice pension. He was about 5foot 10 inches tall and around 210lbs at the age of 65. Within 5 years he had gained around 250lbs. Everyone, including me talked with him over and over again about being that extremely heavy.

He WAS VERY stubborn and would not even listen to his doctor.

He developed diabetes stage 2 and that did NOT make him lose weight. Well at the age of 80 and about 8 months he did not "feel well". He went in and was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatis cancer and given about 12 weeks to live.

Now like smoking and not smoking, anyone can get cancer, as I had gall bladder cancer, HOWEVER to "egg" it on is just not too smart.

He told me to my face that he sure wished that he had listened to me and his doctors.

I was with him all the way and the last week or, so he was in the hospital in GREAT pain and discomfort, as the cancer made him lose over 250 lbs.

Like I have mentioned on here before about like taking boat loads of acetaminophen and then laying in a hospital bed with yellow skin and eyes slowly dying in great pain, his last week was HELL.

I would visit him, he knew nothing, was doped up so heavily on drugs and then gasped one last breath.

PLEASE DO NOT think of this.

It is always so interesting to read where someone would "love" to get cancer, well let me say this from my own experience, it was HELL and I would never wish it upon anyone ever.

So yeah, it's a slow method since after age 65 he still lived another 15 years. Sigh.

I have developed an extreme binge eating disorder - so I think this is going to happen either way. I have tried to exert control, but it is to no avail. (I believe in free will, just don't know where mine has gone).

Death in many cases is painful. But I get what you're saying - don't bring a painful death on yourself if you can help it. (But I very much want to die - to end my pain but also the pain I am causing others. I am abusive. I know I"m going to hell but at least I could put a stop to my abuse of others here on earth which so far I have been incapable of doing through my own free will).

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wherever possible, I would seriously recommend avoiding any behaviors that compromise your quality of life while you're still alive, regardless of intent to CTB. Plans and opportunities can change in an instant, and you don't want to be left suffering for an indefinite period of time with a series self-inflicted problems.

(Edit to note that I understand binge eating is a serious compulsion and not just a "bad choice".)

As a former morbidly obese person, i strongly suggest you to not attempt this. You will be miserable for the rest of your long life and suffer painful comorbidities and nasty prolonged stuff such as diabetic sores, maggots in the folds, lymphoedema, gallbladder pain, sleep apnea, colon polyps, GERD, agoraphobia, cancer, addiction, blood clotting issues, and the list goes on...

Bariatric surgery was my only option. Next month is my 9 year surgiversary.

Not something you want to do. You will spend decades in constant pain as your body struggles to carry weight it was never many to deal with. You will have no energy. You will constantly struggle to get enough breath, to sleep, even just to sit comfortably. Only do thus is you want to make your life even more miserable while atill waiting forever to die.

That's a really bad way to die. Besides you'll not die. Damaging the liver with alcohol is one way but that's also very brutal and needs patience

Yeah that was my hope and it doesn't work well at all. Maybe I'll be dead from it in 10 years but I've been morbidly obese for 20+ years already. Not worth it.

There's a good treatment for BED. It's Vyvanse. It treats my BED and my ADHD. Idk if it's legal in your county but it is FDA-approved for treating BED. There's also finally a generic version!

Would this not put you in a position where you'd be dependent on (and a burden to) those who you are abusive to? If so, you'll probably become even more abusive in the years to come. This makes it everyone else's problem if it isn't already. If you want to put a stop to your abuse of others, this isn't the way.

In spite of what most people seem to want to believe, being fat is not a death sentence. It's just being fat. The biggest problem with being fat is dealing with the kinds of people in this thread. Especially amused by the person scolding a fat person for dying at 80! People like all of you are a huge part of why I want to CTB, so I guess congrats. You'll get the dead fatty you're so damn obsessed with heckling.

No, I do not want this. But I have a severe, extreme binge eating disorder and I think this is where I am going to end up regardless. I am trying to fight against but I am losing.

My understanding is that for bariatric surgery, you have to be able to follow a restricted diet aftewards. Now if I could follow a diet, I wouldn't need bariatric surgery.

i have the opposite end of the stick here i have a restrictive eating disorder and i have been underweight a few points throughout my teenage years and i am now severely underweight and have been for half a year and underweight for almost a full year, the health effects of being underweight typically hit faster than they do for obese people and i am still here with pretty minimal complications for the way my body is, so it will most likely be a slow and painful death if i dont ctb using another method, and even slower and more painful one for you

but planning to ctb by consuming a mass amount of food will be a slow and painful death, i think that anorexics like myself have a lot more in common with morbidly obese people in the way we think about food that is let on, you said you have BED so you know the types of thoughts around food im thinking of, how its a control, a comfort, its not nice in one way, it would be such a horrible way to go

Yes, that is wise. But my current quality of life is pretty poor. But I guess being obese would make it worse in a number of ways.

i really hope you are able to recover at least somewhat, i have the binge purge subtype of anorexia so i do struggle with binge eating as well even if its not to the same extent, so i can partially understand your struggles, please dont feel afraid to reach out if you want someone to lean on, i know how eating disorders ruin lives, it basically ruined mine

I have an extreme binge eating disorder... I cannot stop compulsively eating. So it's more, could this end up killing me?, not that I'm going to change my relationship with food in order to try to CTB.

I am literally thinking about food ALL THE TIME.

sorry yes i read on and saw you have BED and ive edited my message since youve replied, i know exactly how you feel when you say you never stop thinking about food, i know the torture of CONSTANT food noise, it absolutely could kill you, and i myself have had thoughts of "well theres so many things that can go wrong with CTB methods, i may as well wait for my anorexia to kill me" but the thing is you cant put a timeline on that, theres so many painful complications that come with eating disorders long before death

Thank you. Yeah, I just can't stop compulsively eating.
My life was already ruined but this is not helping. I cannot go anywhere with food, eg social events, because... well, I just sit/stand there and eat it all. Not socially acceptable!!!

when your life already sucks its even worse when you cant even simply enjoy food and its just a constant worry / intrusive thought in your mind, i hope youre able to get even just a little bit better, you deserve to be able to enjoy food and not be controlled by it, eating disorders are so horrible, wishing you the best

I would like to clear up something, about this whole thread if I may be allowed to.

At least for me and the meaning of this thread is this: Like I mentioned about the person who after he retired ballooned out in weight, his favorite saying was this: "eating is total and above all my only entertainment". He was average weight all his life and then BANG! all the weight came on. DEAADLY PERIOD.

NOW, like when I was growing up in the middle of now here, there were farmers who were German ancestry, like me, and they were bigger built, BUT that was the genetics of it. Like folks who are bigger built by GOD, nothing wrong with it, same as me, as I am 70 and I have gained about 20 pounds and that is about normal as a person ages, as I was told by medical folks.

This thread was started about gaining an EXTREME amount of weight to die by that means, NOT about folks that are the way that GOD designed them to be.

You ARE a wonderful soul and PLEASE DO NOT take what this thread says as an attack on you or anyone. We are ALL together in this, and again, this thread was about gaining an exorbitant amount of weight to facilitate dying by.

NOT about anyone here at all ever.

I would NEVER EVER be mean, nasty or anything towards anyone, it is NOT in my DNA, and I apologize to you if you thought that this or my post was in any way an attack on you OR anyone ever, NOPE NEVER!

Hugs and caring thoughts to, you, my good friend.

Never really heard of this. Interesting though. Definitely a slow method unless you just start stuffing yourself. If you're just planning on being somewhat fat to decrease the lifespan, that's one thing, but if you were to actually try to die via this method, then I can't imagine it'd go well. You'd probably just become immobile or go into some kind of organ failure

I apologise. My intention was not to scald a fat person for dying at 80. It was my own exasperation and frustration at trying to find a way to CTB and discovering that this method isn't an option either.

Like many here, I desperately want to CTB, but it is very difficult to do. I cannot get my hands and the drugs I need to do it - my preferred method, and don't know anyone who is willing to help me.

Unfortunately, most of us here are in the same position: we can't get our hands on our preferred method. I'll just speak for myself here & say that I am grateful to have found this site so that I can learn about viable methods, and I have chosen the one that comes closest to my preferred method from the suicide resource compilation…
