I got myself a hefty cylinder of "pure" nitrogen from a gas supplier who charged me ≈$300.

Unfortunately, I'm still here. And I'm pretty sure that the bastard sold me straight up air.

I tried to contact him but he doesn't answer my calls and his store is closed permanently when I searched it on google maps.
I went there in person and to no surprise, the store's doors were locked.

Does anyone know of any reliable gas suppliers that sell pure nitrogen to people who don't have a license for it?
I reside in Quebec btw.

Not sure about suppliers but I some auto shops are now using nitrogen to fill tyres, I think to prevent corrosion. Just a thought.

I tried buying nitrogen from an auto shop first. But unfortunately, the gas they use is only ≈75% nitrogen.

the contents will be stamped on the cylinder. What makes you thing you were sold compressed air? Niyrogen is very accessible, it has man industrial uses so a trip through the web for your area will show providers. Also, nitrogen fittings differ to other gasses so that would indicate contents.

The seller also said the same thing. He said: "look, see this big green cylinder that has this peculiar sticker on it? This means that the cylinder is filled with 99.8% pure nitrogen" and when I asked him how did he know that it's pure nitrogen he basically was like "trust me bro, don't worry about the purity of the nitrogen" and charged me $300 for the cylinder.

When I attempted, I didn't fell unconscious and after 2-3 minutes of inhaling the gas I got a headache and gave up.

The annoying part is that there isn't another industrial gas supplier near me.

There may have been a leak in your bag or the bag wasn't made properly or something like that.
