I whip out the notes app and start writing. It kinda feels better writing it down than just talking to myself like there's a listener in my head.

Does anyone have two different "in head voices"? Just me? Ohps.

Self harm can give a feeling of control while avoiding what needs to be really controlled. This can allow things to get worse.

Using ideation as a coping strategy may also be an avoidance that allows the neglected environmental circumstances to worsen.

It is understood that people do what they can to get by. However, one should be aware if there are any things that need to be addressed.
