Help Suggest Standalone movies where protagonist kills himself

I might ctb at any time. I'm just waiting for the right moment. Until then, I've been watching movies, but they make me feel worse. Especially coming-of-age, university life, romantic, or even "he gets his life back" stories—they all make me sad because I don't have friends, I've never experienced romantic love, and I don't feel like my life will improve.
I'm particularly drawn to movies where a boy feels messed up and a girl "fixes" him, like Buffalo '66 or The Girl Next Door. It feels like a fantasy to me someone coming into my life and changing everything. So if there are any such movies or the ones where the protagonist kills themselves irrespective of the plot, pls suggest me . Suggest only standalone ones because i got this finish fetish so if it's from a franchise or got a sequel, then i may postpone my ctb even when an opportunity comes Thank you.

I have never personally watched this movie so I don't know how good it is, but I have heard of The Fire Within. It's a movie based on a French book about a man's final days before he catches the bus.

Just finished watching. Thanks for recommending, the movie is depressing but surprisingly i didn't cried.

It's not a movie, but I really love the graphic novel "I Am Not Okay with This" - it's a tragedy about a girl who develops telekinetic powers linked to her emotions. It got some Netflix tv series adaptation that I will probably never watch because fans of the show review bombed the book for being "too sad" (the entire point of a tragedy)

I'm sure this doesn't count, but the Butterfly Effect. The first one, not the sequels... The theatrical cut I forget how it ends... the guy spends the whole movie trying to fix the past but each time he does he makes some aspect of it worse. Eventually he decides he can't be involved in helping his friends have a better life so he has to make it so he was never in their lives.

BUT... the uncensored cut has an alternate ending where instead of just never befriending them... he time travels back to his mother's womb and basically strangles himself in the womb so that he is never born. It's kind of the ultimate suicide to make the world better without you ending. It was the original ending but I think it tested as too bleak with audiences so they changed the ending to at least give the protagonist a less sad ending even though he had to give up a lot to save his friends.

"They shoot horses, don't they?" Is one of my favorite movies, super pessimist and bleak.
Also "On the count of three" is about two guys trying to do a double suice.

Also, surprised nobody has mentioned All About Lily Chou Chou yet. It's a Japanese film but it has official English subtitles.

It is a standalone film. Technically, the "protagonist" doesn't CTB, but one of the main characters does.
