I'm trying to make sure I'm measuring things correctly. Even outside the US, grams and ML are basically 1:1 right? I know a CUP in the US is different from a CUP in the UK for example.

I live in Asia. I intend to use the SN method, mixing 20g of SN into 50 ML of water. In terms of ratio, that means 2:5 right?

Does this look right for 20g of SN? I'm using an Asian measuring scale, not sure if the "grams" here is the same as the grams talked about in the guides.

Awesome thanks. But then how come 50 ml is so little then according to my beaker? I watched the pph video on mixing the two, and there seems to be a lot more water on the below:

50ml is a very small amount of water. For comparison, a can of coke is around 300ml, six times more

The metric system (grams, milliliters, etc) is universally used around the world. No matter where you live, if your country uses the metric system, then it's just the same as every other country that also uses it. The US was feeling edgy since they won the war and wanted to be different, hence the weird measurements.

As an Hobbycocktailian I don't think this cup is correct. Looks more like 10ml....
Except that glass thing is really huge!
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic

Sorry to hear that you're having a particularly bad day Seaghost.
You're right, I really can't imagine 50ml being so little based on my beaker. Something off here.

You can search in chemical shops. They should have definitivly better glass or plastic scaling cups. The more you can fill into such a thing the more inaccurate it is.
