  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

probably others have thought of this or done variations on this, i used to think automobile suicide was a crazy, unreliable and irresponsible way to go, and it mostly is.
but i did think of a method that would likely work under the right circumstances. it would be a frightening way out certainly but once you set it in motion you cant undo it and its not painful. so its basically this. you need an automatic car, you need a load of zip ties and you need to use glue and screws and stuff to fasten the zip ties into certain positions. for instance you would want to put a zip tie around the brake and fasten it to something to make sure the brake cant be pushed down and also a different securing of several zip ties to make it that the steering wheel cant be moved very much, you want to vandalise or remove the airbag, you obviously dont want to wear a seatbelt and then you want a nice long stretch of road leading to something very solid like a tree or a thick wall, or if you wanna go out wildly leading off the edge of a cliff, in my humble opinion driving into some sort of inland cliff or giant rock would be the best option. ok so you have to position the car have all the zip ties in place and then last thing you do is secure a zip tie around the accelerator once its in place pull it tight and off you will shoot. so no chance of braking, and only very limited steering and youre headed straight for oblivion. the zip ties if youve done it properly you wont be able to undo them in a hurry. now according to science once you hit your target this will be an utterly painless death because if youve given enough run up to the crash you could be going 100mph when you hit it, at that speed your brain wont even have time to register the crash, your death will be as instantaneous as a shotgun blast to the head.
you know its odd that when i first thought of this i thought i had invented the best most merciful suicide possible even better than barbs. now i read it back to myself and it seems brutal and terrifying. but really i still think it is a physically at least painless option. its less painful and terrifying than hanging imo. you just need to find a suitable secluded place on google maps.

We've had several cars over the cliffs where i live but as far as i know, there was no sabotaging the mechanical systems. They just drove off . Rescue services had a nightmare recovering the remains !

i think i worded part of it badly. yes off a cliff is an option but would make it a lot scarier and may even mean youre more likely to survive. i meant driving it into the side of a cliff at high speed. the tampering with it is to make it more likely you will succeed. otherwise you may get close, hit the brakes like mad, and have a lesser collision that will just leave you paralyzed or something.

I appreciate your creativity with your posts today :)

I think this could likely result in death, however, it presents a major risk to the public. Once you start, you won't be able to stop no matter what happens on the road in front of you (unexpected car pulls out in front, pedestrian crossing the road doesn't realize how fast you're going, etc). Getting to a top speed then simply jerking the wheel towards a cliff/tree/etc or failing to turn in front of a very solid object is more responsible. It'd at least leave you room to change direction/pace should something unexpected enter your path. Vehicular ctb's are already pretty dangerous to innocent people, and this idea seems far more risky.

There are other ways with older model vehicles to ctb, though, that don't endanger anybody else. Keep digging :)
