On the resource compilation doesn't have use of propranolol on the timeline nor the quantity, although I think I have read 800mg previously. This seems like a lot? I'm seeing my doctor next week as I have panic attacks most days and I'm going to suggest this medicine to him but he's likely to put me on low dose 10mg x 28 days to see how I get on

There is a lot of information to consider taking protonolol the PPeH recommend 800mg of propranolol mixed with SN but I still question the quantity, it has been reduced twice from 2g to 1g and now 800mg the only benefits I can find are the two listed below, I am counting on the SN to CTB not the propranolol.

1, It prevents tachycardia, the heart racing and beating fast.
2, When the brain receives a message there is insufficient oxygen, a message is sent to the heart to increase blood flow which is blocked

I dissolved one 40mg tablet in chilled water to make sure it was immediate release, it took 10 minutes to dissolve and I kept stirring it

Antacids with aluminum hydroxide make propranolol less effective, aluminum hydroxide antacids are usually sold OTC.
Taking Cimetidine increases the levels of proponalal in the blood
Taking Ibuprofen may decrease the blood pressure-lowering effects of propranolol.
Taking a lower dose is more effective than taking a high dose.

Useful information here. I wonder if magnesium hydroxide interacts the same way aluminium hydroxide does (milk of magnesia). I can buy that no problem. I'm not sure if cimetidine is OTC here. I was prescribed it previously for medication induced nausea. I'll try bargaining for it next time I'm at the pharmacy.

Hey geo, will you be using propranolol?
I want to use it as it sounds like it reduces anxiety , which I need as I suffer frequent panic attacks and I don't want to have one whole ctb. Just 800mg seems a lot ?
