Are sounds while hanging loud? Will people walking through stairwell hear it and assume person is dying or they will not hear it? I'm living in a studio apartment so there are no doors only the entrance door. Maybe playing music to block the hanging sounds? I will be doing it at night like 3AM or something

I found this post from a couple years back. It has links with videos of PSH. I think a few attempts had sounds, particularly the ones where choking is involved and/or if there's dangling of the body.

Do you think that people walking through stairwell will hear and panic trying to open the door or call emergency? Will turning on music help?

could be, help dampening the sounds. you could also put tape on your mouth but that might make police thought of murder

I don't think turning on music could prevent a loud thud if you thrash about or fall, but in the videos it doesn't look like this is the case for everyone. I think some of them are turning on the music to dampen some sounds though.

If you're using a door then yes, because your involuntary movements will make loud noises.
but if there's a normal wall behind you, I doubt there will be any sounds.
Don't overthink 😁
