Someone I knew got a very peaceful exit medicine from the darknet. What could it have been?

So this person I remotely knew had carefully planned his exit well in advance. He had bodily and cognitive decline and wanted to control his own fate. He exited in 2024.

He administered the medicine himself while three family members were present. This all took place in EU, he took care to arrange everything himself so that his loved ones wouldn't get into any legal trouble.

I'm not privvy to all the details and he didn't want to share with anyone which medicine he used. Only that he got it from the darknet. His passing was peaceful according to the family that was present. Just quietly drifting off. His family felt very peaceful with his method of goodbye. Method was likely oral, but can't be 100% sure.

Now nembutol is near impossible to get on the DN. Opiods are not a sure ticket and this guy was a very careful planner, he didn't leave anything to chance. SN is peaceful according to the PPH (although possibly with some throwing up, which didn't happen here). However some SaSu reports suggest SN might not be that peaceful as this guy's exit was, even with careful prep:

Is SN even sold on the DN? I didn't see it refered as a common source.

Thoughts on what he might have used?

I haven't looked around for SN on DNM but I'm sure you can find it. I think the easiest way to get it would be from the grey market by ordering from overseas or domestic sellers (depending on your countries laws).

With enough effort and determination you can get anything.

I also haven't heard about "Exit medicine" being sold on DNM.

When there are no available sources for a specific chemical people usually come up with weird and interesting variants of it and those may be found as research chemical analogs somewhere out there

He might have use pentobarbital (maybe in powder from China).It seemed to be available until 2021. Now it's likely mission impossible to get this product.

Might have been a possibility. He exited mid-2024; he likely had been thinking about it for a good while though. So maybe he got his exit medicine a few years before just in case... I believe he ordered either from Germany or immediately surrounding countries. Avoiding custom risks.

Nembutal hasn't been available in Europe for quite a while. According to PPH (Peaceful Pill Handbook) fentanyl is not as big a guarantee of peaceful exit as you'd believe, even if fentanyl overdoses are common.

Even on DN sellers don't want to touch it apparently. Brings too much extra scrutiny and higher charges if you do get caught. Also it's not like you get repeat customers. If anyone sold 'exit medicine' specifically for that purpose I'd imagine it's either a scam or out of strong personal convictions for self-determination.

For the person in question, sounds like it might have been fent, though that's very hard to come by even on the darkweb. Alternatively, maybe a large dose of heroin.

Yeah, perfectly peaceful does not sound like SN.

What do you make of the claim that the gasping for air and/or vomiting mostly happens as a bodily reflex, when the person is already unconcious and unaware of it?

For the person in question, sounds like it might have been fent, though that's very hard to come by even on the darkweb. Alternatively, maybe a large dose of heroin.

He didn't went out an a huge high as one would do on fent/heroine, just very peacefully.. I'm guessing more and more he got his hands on nembutol somehow.

In the stories I read about the ones that get narcanned after overdosing they come back ANGRY. They're just floating in bliss, unaware of everything, and suddenly all the bliss is gone and they're awake...

I guess the 'nodding off' that hardcore addicts seek is this semi-conscious, dreamlike state of deep relaxation, euphoria, and drowsiness, and close to overdose?

Don't know opiates only ever made me sick, but I imagine the death is nothingness followed by nothingness if you aren't narcanned.

Once I read from someone else in other different forum, a guy who practise the euthanasia in my country. He prepare the coctel/mix of midazolam, rocuronium, propofol and morphine, which is the solution used here. Every drug is administered in a different step

but the guy said that if he had to use only one drug, he would go for propofol in high doses

I guess it switches off your neural system, and then your done

but I dont really think thats the drug you think it is. I have seen ampoulles of propofol being sold in the dark market / OTC, but having access to a higher dose is a different thing and probably only available in hospitals

There are peaceful drugs it could be but in my experience dark net markets are scams selling nothing but stuff with zero or near zero psychoactive substances, at least in the UK. Maybe it's different in other countries. It will have been one opiate or another. Unfortunately the chance of addiction or serious criminal charges if caught outweigh any benefit of the possibility of escaping what life might throw at me
