you're not "saving" a life when person got no life to live at all.
don't know why I realized that only till now. should've been apparent the whole time.
and SS is kinda being shut down. fuck NYT. fuck Refinery26. fuck all you motherfucking ableist pro-forced-torture people. we ain't "pro-death", and "pro-choice" hasn't been my favorite descriptor either. it's just autonomy.
and mind you that autonomy is *not* "free will".
I don't like an us-versus-them description. it makes people stubborn. it's not about the person that you are, but the illusioned and delusioned beliefs you hold when facts are just fucking there. so you can change. change how you think and what you do. stop hurting people, starting from now. that's what I always say to people. I cannot care less if you're man or woman. I want to know if you currently believe in sexism. worships it. only, enough boys and men benefit way too much out of patriarchy at the emotional cost of not getting to know many women too well as worthy, interesting, deserving human beings. that's the same thing with racism, ableism. or suicide/assisted suicide policy. and if you're BIPOC enough to know that most Whites simply *are* practicing racism, you better also know that *most* men simply *do* practice patriarchy at this point of their lives. for securing socioeconomic resources and social/political, sexual privileges.
but no one said they can't change. stop hurting trans and cis women and queer and trans/QTPOC people. stop forcing human sacrifice schemes on all of us. including on the suicidal.
suicide is a difficult topic. it just is. going against what all organisms are programmed to do - to survive and live. it's difficult enough that I reattempted and reattempted and reattempted and just couldn't get my survival instinct go screw itself. so I stayed on the forum. taking its methods but also entertaining myself and those I care about, in the time where I'd have to be alive. but it being difficult, for the rationally and determinatedly suicidal, for the suicidee and the people grieving, shouldn't mean anything like a suicide watch. one I'm on now. and taking down methods (an action I do understand given the heat we been attracting) *is* suicide watch. I'd have to go, prematurely is not a good enough word, cuz autonomy is not a thing in this world I'm living in, the realities we live under. and they take more of that away from us. so much for making it more hopeless! like the point @Meretlein made in the pinned post, it's a question whether the suicidee values dignity, autonomy, bodily inviolability/physical integrity etc *more*, than being saved of a life they really don't wanna, and often just can't, live. and I'm gonna say that like all questions directed towards personal (not political or what) preferences, the answer is simply to ask. but the world doesn't listen.
that post's gonna age well, I think. a collective voice for us all.
Edit: typos and grammar
