Can I use whatever container to hold an aqueous solution of SN? Does it react with ordinary disposable paper cups? Can SN be in contact with ordinary disposable paper cups? The paper cups seem to be made of some organic compound.

And what kind of spoons can I use to take SN and stir it in water?

In addition, can SN, Meto and tagamet be combined with Ibuprofen?

I am sorry... I have phobia, and am worried about something that can go wrong. Thank you for your attention...

Do you need to pay attention to your diet before taking SN? Is there anything you need to avoid eating?

The only question I am able to reply here is, don't use spoon. I don't know why. But Xerxes said so. Just swirl your glass/cup to dilute the SN into your water. It might take a while. So I don't think paper cup is a good idea.

Thank you. I have read Xerxes's article on DMSO, and I thought that only when SN is dissolved in DMSO should I not use a spoon...

Will you make any noise after taking SN? Will there be severe convulsions? Will the vocal cord vibrate unconsciously?

My school term will start in 5 days, after that I can only CTB with people sleeping next door at night. Is that safe? Or do I have to pick up a rainy day( I'm in a rainy area) and turn on the booming heater? It can cover up the noise made by mild convulsions.

I know that NaOH reacts with glass, but I don't know whether SN or its aqueous solution will react with glass. Commonly used tableware materials are metal, ceramics, glass, plastic,( plus paper cups?) which ones are safe?

I m having the same concerns/questions for some time now. And there seem to be unambigous opinions about it.
I can offer what I ll probably do, cuz I cant seem to be hold on for much longer.
I will carry the needed amount in a cleaned empty plastic cosmetic face cream jar, using plastic spoon to put the measured amount in the glass or cup possibly, stir it up with the plastic spoon (then dispose the plastic spoon or clean it so nobody wouldnt lick it or anything) and drink.
What do you think, does anybody find something chemically wrong with carrying it out like this? thanks

The article about SN on Baidu( not in English) Encyclopedia( sorry, I haven't read Wikipedia yet) mentions that, "SN will burn and explode when it comes into contact with organic materials". But it doesn' t specify whether " organic materials" are ether gasoline or everyday organic products such as plastics. So I' m worried about the safety of plastics. I don' t know if the statement there is professional. Baidu Encyclopedia may be a less professional encyclopedia.

But if my day comes and there' s still no answers, I won't care about these things.

I'm not sure… Maybe there are many different kinds of plastics...

I think that if there' s no flame during the operation then there should be nothing wrong with it... After all, I have seen from Newspapers that many people died at very small doses.

yes, I ve read keep it far from flammable stuff...I just read some protocol on it, its not in English, and most of the information are not available concerning this particular substance., but they say when you operate with it wear a protective gloves ,and protective mask on eyes and nose...dangerous not to breath it in...I dont know, how can it be released so fast in the air ,if i just take some to smaller container and close immediately.

I guess perhaps they may use it for chemical reactions, so some of which may release toxic nitrogen oxides... If water and oxygen in the air react with it, they should not produce gases...

so its ok not to wear protective floves and cover mouth, eyes when manipulating with it, from one container to other.

I used to handle SN in large amounts at a previous job. We didn't take much precautions. I usually used gloves but not religiously, often came into contact with it.
It's wasn't the type of substance that will dust into the air and go into your lounges so no need for covering mouth/eyes. Although this could possibly vary from different batches/sources

so unless you are doing chemical reaction with this substance its safe to breath air around it safely

One person who knows chemistry told me that SN is stable and does not react with plastics or glass, and she said that using a metal spoon and a paper cup is fine.

@BjartNO May I ask you a question? The SN I bought a few days ago was canned and the bottle has never been opened, but yesterday I found that a big lump has formed inside. The weather here is very wet these days. I don' t know whether I can still use it...

Is it possible that the agglomerated SN only has a hard surface and there' s still some well-preserved powder inside?

Is it ok if I use a metal spoon to put SN in the water and also is the plastic cup ( thick plastic cup, not disposable) ok ?

We often received bags of SN that had clumped together. You can grind it up with a mortar or something and voila, good as new. Shouldn't have any implications for the quality of the SN.
