Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

My just failed FSH attempt proved that while the bar at the top of my walk in closet is too weak to hold my weight, I can do it, I can step off that chair, and the closet itself is high enough to do FSH on me despite my height (5'8-9). It's annoying that I'm so tall for a girl because it makes this more difficult. >_<

Anyway I looked at the top of my closet and it seems like I have space that I could install a hook or some sort of anchor point to tie my noose to right above the entrance of the closet. Does this seem like a solid plan, and can anybody suggest a good solid hook/other anchor type thing and screws to look for that would make it a very solid anchor point that would hold me and the rope and not have it slip off or something.

Find a stud. To secure something you need to find a wooden beam behind the drywall in the closet. You can do this by knocking, purchasing a stud finder, or using a small nail (tap it in with a hammer, if you hit a stud it will take a lot more effort to go in). The next thing is to go to the hardware store and find hooks that are rated to take a lot of weight (I would go with 1.5x your weight at minimum). Find heavy-duty wood screws to screw into the stud. You can also ask people at the hardware store for help. Tell them you want to hang one of those basket chairs or something.

Edit to add: There are ways to anchor things that can hold 200+ pounds to drywall but that is for walls. I would be hesitant to dry something from the ceiling. At that point, it would be better to put a hook in the wall right at the top near the ceiling and hang from there.

Somebody suggested that I should attach pictures to show what I have to work with. So the first pic is the outside of my closet top edge and wall, and the 2nd two pics are the inside.

It's like a solid door frame around it because there used to be a door there but my family removed it a long time ago, but the frame remains.
