Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I follow this ultra rich guy on social media. I don't know him . But since the first time I saw him I am obsessed in a non romantic way. He is extremely good looking, lives a great life. I eagerly wait to see every post of his and every time I feel bad about how miserable my life is, in so many ways. Financially, mentally, physically, family etc. there is so much trauma I deal with , also can't afford therapy as I am the sole earning member of my family
Only a new better life can undo the trauma.

What you are going through here is a form of a parasocial relationship. If you don't know, that's where you devote energy into someone who doesn't know who you are.

The "curse" of social media is that it's like a curated highlight reel showing the best parts of his life. When you compare your life, which will include all of it, including your struggles, you are comparing that to his highlight reel. He will only show the parts of his life that are ideal, because that's what social media is.

Truthfully, you should block him. It seems like seeing him is bringing you more pain at this juncture, and the only way to stop that is to stop seeing his posts.

Most of those people are fake. They use pictures of people not them or they Photoshop the crap out of their pictures to look good. A lot of influencers also fake being rich by renting clothes, houses, even private jets. You also have to know that people that run in those circles are usually pretty fake socially. Their friends are there because they have money and wear the right things. A lot of people in rich circles are incredibly lonely.

Social media ia not real. It is an idealized version of someone's life. It is make believe. They are showing you only what they want you to see and not how it really is.

And that's okay. Sometimes, social media is genuinely like an addiction, and like all addictions, there are relapses. Just take it one day at a time, and maybe you can fight the urges to check
