If I drink a small amount of bleach, can I get sick enough to not be able to go to school?

Please try not to drink any bleach. I once met someone whose daughter drank some bleach - the daughter has been tube fed since then and is permanently disabled. Honestly it is not worth the risk.

May I ask how old you are and how long are you trying to not attend school? If it is for the short term, you could speak to the school and doctor about suffering from anxiety and not being able to attend..,

I have social anxiety and it has ruined my life. After going through unpleasant situations at school, I acquired avoidant behavior, which had serious consequences in adult life. I'm a hikikomori who can't look people in the eye. If you want to break someone, make them antisocial. Don't drink bleach, seek psychotherapy and don't isolate yourself in your room. Be better than me, don't follow the same path.

I'm 18 years old and I'm in the 3rd year of high school, but I can't do it. People at school judge me a lot, plus most of the people in my class don't like me.

I cry there every day and I self-harm, I also smoke a lot before going to school to relieve anxiety.

I don't like psychologists or psychiatrists; both in my view don't help at all for someone in a state like mine.

But I could be wrong...

I thought about ingesting a small amount that would only make me vomit blood.

Don't drink bleach, as you are no doubt very young it will make a terrible mess of your insides.

Just lie to make up a reason to not go school.

I'm sorry you are feeling like this. I can relate when I went to school I absolutely hated it. Tried multiple things including putting nail polish remover in my eyes to pretend like I was crying to make my mom feel guilty and let me stay home (very very dumb I know). I would recommend not drinking any bleach. There could be bad side effects and depending how much permanent ones.

I am currently not in school so I know what I say won't mean much, but unfortunately if you were to try to do something to avoid school you might get a day or two off which will be a relief, but you'll still end up having to go later on and it won't be any easier. It absolutely sucks.

Do you by chance have a parent who you can talk to about the stress about going to school? What about homeschooling? Maybe if they had a better understanding they can be more flexible with you going. I understand lots of parents aren't really open to the conversation of missing school. But I do hope you find a way to make things better and in the meantime I would just suggest pretending to be sick or something until there is a better solution. Wishing you the best ♥️

When you leave school, you will never meet the people you studied with again. I know how painful it is to not fit into groups and feel ostracized. If you don't practice self-care and hygiene, you will become more socially maladjusted. Exogenous depression, caused by the environment, is something that will be diluted over time. The sadness I felt was arduous but disproportionate to the severity of the problem.

Find someone to talk to, even if it's a professional who is only there for the salary contract. Improve your self-esteem make changes.

your brain is still forming and smoking all the time is just stunting/crippling your ability to process. im sorry but you're not helping yourself by self medicating like this. bleach isn't going to do shit but send you to inpatient once they find out what you did and you should know by reading more threads on this site how that turns out for a lot of people

I can relate so much to this. I'm the exact same way, I have such intense social anxiety and I can never make eye contact. I go to great lengths sometimes to avoid interacting with people, isolating myself in my room for days and it has really cost me my relationships. And like you said it has serious consequences in adult life. I'm sorry this has happened to you as well ❤️❤️ it's so hard to pull out of that cycle

i'm sorry about that. Why exactly do they judge you?

I'm also sociophobic as hell, so i have to take on my antisocial mask when i'm around people, like "why do i care about worms' opinion". This is very exhausting though and does more harm than good, but that's a way to cope with that

DON'T drink bleach. It causes very serious injury. Long before I was born, a great-uncle of mine tried to ctb that way. He failed, but was left with the consequences.
