So why do they need to search your phone after CTB?

The police automatically after a CTB are aonducting an investigation, and I've been told my phone will be taken in the process. What is that for? Is that really everytime?

I guess they have to rule out homicide even if it's evident that the individual has ended their own life. Also if they've taken something like SN I'm guessing authorities would want to know where they got it from. I think it's just procedure.

So I just turn off my phone when it's on password mode and thats it? What if I want to listen to some music after I took the SN?

There's no way of stopping the investigation. They may even dig harder if they are suspicious of evidence being hidden. There's a post from COP2CON that goes into the aftermath, but you will gotta search for it yourself from the search bar
