It looks too light, like the SN isn't pure enough.

Personally, I would follow up with a blood test, and if my blood didn't turn dark chocolate brown, I would get SN from a different manufacturer and test again.

I got SN from a known lab, it was supposed to be 99% pure, it failed both tests. So I ordered a different product number from the same lab, also claimed to be 99% (that's the only provider of SN where I live), and the second one was fine.

@FluffyDove, check the SN FAQ that in the Resources Compilation. the FAQ has a link to the testing strips thread. Just because the nitrate tests as too high doesn't mean it's too high for you, it's too high for fish. You want it to be as high as possible. I think the testing strips thread will help you in discerning if it's pure enough.

Honestly I'm not sure I understand these strips correctly. Did you do the blood test? How did it go?

I think it's fine, just increase the amount a bit.

You can, just be sure to write a description in the comment and then put them in a spoiler so no one will be triggered.

Also, be sure to take the photos in natural daylight. It's just not the same with lightbulbs, on top of the camera filter and whatever filters one may have on the screen of their device.

Not at all trying to beat you up here, but I think that's poor advice.

Increasing the SN won't make it more pure.

Methemoglobinemia is what causes ctb by SN, and purity has a direct impact on that, that's why the blood test is recommended, to check the color. Adding more SN won't make the blood turn any darker if it doesn't instantly turn dark enough.

If the SN is too weak, the OP would be more likely to end up in the hospital than ctb.

@FluffyDove On the formatting options of your post, 3 to the right of where you press to attach the photo there is the option 'insert' (...) and the third option is spoiler. Just put that at the top of the post.
