SN Pricing (scammed?)

Hey there,

A few weeks ago I bought SN from EC (don't know if this abbreviation is often used, in any case, not IC) which was priced quite highly at around 106,- per 100 grams. Once reading through the SN megathread, I soon realised this was an extremely high price compared to what I've read in there and causes me to doubt the legitimacy of the received product. I had also received it in a rather weird packaging, the weight matches, however the over-all packaging indicates something completely different. Any thoughts?

Uhhh yeah I think that would be a scam, although I wouldn't know why they're using SN to scam unless they're onto the fact that it's being used for suicides.

Well, if the overall packaging indicates something completely different than NaNO2, then maybe it's that? What does it say anyway?

Otherwise the appearance should be yellowish white powder (NaNO3, in contrast, should be white crystals). There is a strip test (although I found that to be expensive), a blood test (would turn blood into brown, though I've heard NaNO3 do the same), and an aquarium test (you could probably look that up from this site) to verify the legitimacy.
I got 1 kg of it for 50 USD from a local manufacturer from where I am, and it does look to be legitimately packaged, with labels and expiration dates and all.

Isn't that around what IC charges? Or less even? It's possible that supplier is just trying to profit off widespread SN regulations. I don't think the price necessarily is indicative of it not being the right product.

IC is about $56 for 50g bag, if you check against my diary thread the prices are fine I think. Just not sure about supplier.

It is quite costly but nowhere near as costly as Nitrogen with all the kit.

Also meto set be back about $75 with shipping. I wanted a pure no questions asked supplier because other check against open electoral register and I'm not on it yet since I only recently became a citizen of this country and didn't get round to applying (thanks ADHD).

The company itself seems quite legit, which is why I'll be testing it someday soon when I have time and proper tools to do so.

Thanks for the URL, I'm a bit fearful because of oxidation though, as the surrounding 'bag' so to say cannot be closed once opened, it's a 'open and never close again' type thing. Any suggestions?

As the saying goes, "The market dictates the price." Or something along those lines, anyway. If they can sell it for whatever they choose, they will sell it for whatever they choose. Sad fact of capitalism. Since SN is harder to find, after the Amazon debacle, other, legitimate suppliers hiked their prices.
