Sodium nitrite is advertised in a particular pro-suicide online forum, which CTV News Toronto is not naming, as a painless death — something that experts say is simply not true. Until recently, it was sold by majoronline retailers with few restrictions.

how heroic of them to not name this site.

if they stayed here and took the time to understand us a bit longer they'd know that sn is not advertised as painless. it's only because of this site that i know to expect discomfort when i take it eventually, and it's a discomfort i'm willing to face if it means i suffer no longer. but them even trying to understand us and putting themselves in our miserable shoes is too much to expect out of these sunshines.

From what I've read SN doesn't sound painless exactly, it does sound quite unpleasant but of course it sounds preferable to most of the other methods which are more risky and difficult to go through with, for example hanging.
But any anti suicide news article is automatically not worth reading to me, all that those people wish to do is make us slaves to suffering and prisoners to this existence. It's inhumane to wish to deny people a reliable way to exit this world and leave them with no choice but to resort to risky and brutal methods.

Of course they wouldn't name the site, they need to keep up their illusion that this is a site of psychopaths and murderers. Also, while SN definitely doesn't sound painless, it's not a valid argument against its use because there is no viable alternative. It's as if they want hanging or jumping to be used instead.

Since when did SN became painless? As far as I know there are virtually no methods that donot cause pain or suffering. If government wanted they could probably make an actual painless method or substance but if they do that then how will they keep us as their wageslaves.

I would say SN in combination with antacids and AEs is (and is advertised as) a painless method. No one has ever said that it is free of discomfort (nausea, rapid heart beat), but as far as I am aware, people who take SN don't experience pain, as in chest pain or stomach pain.

The experts almost certainly know this, and are just running damage control.

It's not truly peaceful, they're making a sizeable amount of the suicidal, to which is not peaceful, like say N.
