In practical matters, the SN Bible talks about the blood test, but only about 0.1g of SN but does not say how much blood is needed.

Does anyone know how much blood is needed for the test?

I know I read up on it here A LOT before I did the test but dont remember which threads, sorry. Plus I think I probably posted because I remember people sent me links publicly & privately. No memory.
I remember when I tested though - I used a diabetic lancer that someone here recommended (can't cut). And that I put a drop or 2 of blood into a white dish & added SN. I also put SN into a white dish & added blood to that. They both turned very quickly, can't remember but probably 1-3 seconds. I would've posted at some point. It goes from runny blood red to sludgy chocolate brown syrup pretty much immediately. Hope that helps.

hi,
i know you are just talking about the blood test here but i was wondering if you tested with the strips too and if so which ones did you use?
I found them on the actual Bartovation website for $20, titled 'Nitrite 0-25 ppm, Nitrate 0-500 ppm Two Pad Test Strip [Vial of 50 Strips]', are these the correct an recommended ones?
I also found some on amazon for £ 10.99 titled 'Nitrate 0-500 ppm Test Strip [Vial of 25 Strips]'.
I'm just curious if anyone reading this can lmk if any of there are the correct ones?
thank you so much

I don't know how to help you about the strips. I don't even know if they are available here in my country or how to use them. That's why I preferred to test it directly on the blood, a few drops, a bran of SN and see if the magic happens...

Hey
I did the aquarium test as well as the blood. The generally recommended aquarium one is the B brand you said above (can't spell sorry) but I'm not sure what the test is actually called. In the SN resources, there's a bible by Vizzy - I'm "pretty sure" that's what I followed. I used a brand from the local pet store though - aqua one maybe? I just made sure that it measured the right amount of ppm & made sure I looked at the nitrite result (because it also measured nitrate). Sorry no memory or time but I know the B brand is what Exit say & I followed Vizzys advice but also the package instructions & also read up on here at the time. I used distilled water. I've written about it here somewhere on SaSu. Sorry gotta run. Good luck.

You're welcome. I think maybe the brand I used was API. But if you can get the one Exit & SaSu recommend (the B one, still can't spell, still no time...) even better. Good luck.
